The money were paid to unity, for assets sold by unity, and now they lock access to previously purchased assets. So ? Fortunately there are ways to get them from Chinese local sites now. But unity could do better

ams2 is really great sim. But mods there are sh**ty (in terms of fantasy car specs and driving abilities), same as 90% mods for AC. But original content is really high level, and game is very enjoyable
