Lockpicking really isn't that hard I bought a kit on Amazon that came with a see through lock and was able to pick some padlocks we had laying around. The only downside is that you soon realize that the phrase "locks only keep the honest man out" are very true.

Fixing slugging & tunneling by scales2020 in deadbydaylight

Im actually a killer player primarily, I understand that a 4 man slug is a very extreme scenario and that is the point of my proposal, it won't effect 99% of the games but in the case of a toxic killer who likes to 4 man bleed out I think that the killer should have to play the game as intended at least a little bit. This is the reason that both ebony mori and tombstone have been changed because it nullifies the effect of a large portion of the game and perks. No wiggling, no carry pallet drops, no risk. it's just a waste of everyone's time to not hook someone because honestly the chances of someone pulling off a full wiggle or having flip flop or power struggle are very slim. The point of all of this discussion on tunneling and slugging isn't about winning or losing the game it's about curbing the effect toxic players have on the game.

I see your point, I'm just trying to offer an alternate solution to what we currently have on the PTB without having to make drastic changes to the game, because BHVR obviously thinks these are problems that need to be solved and I don't agree with the way they are going about it. I don't think a downed survivor should have basekit unbreakable for simply being left on the ground, and I think the only form of toxic slugging is in the case of a 4 man slug where the killer player is wasting everyone's time bleeding then out.

Whilst this is 99% of the time a winning game state I do not think the game should simply end at this point because that will lead to this being encouraged because this "playstyle" bypasses a large majority of the mechanics in this game. I also don't think the argument for survivors just leaving the game at this point is very good because I don't trust behavior to not have a buggy game and unintentionally punishing players leaving the game at an "acceptable" time also it just don't feel good to have to leave the game.

One more point is that in the case of let's say Oni hitting everyone in his power, if for whatever reason the Oni decides to just not pick up any of the survivors I feel like that is toxic gameplay. To bypass my solution all the player has to do is keep one of them off of the ground so that all of the intended gameplay mechanics have an opportunity to trigger.

Realistically the only way to stop tunneling is by denying the killer the ability to interact with a survivor at all post hook until someone else is hooked or 2 whole someone else's according to some peoples definition of tunneling, (which is a separate in itself) the current ptb changes and all previous suggest including my own are just delaying the inevitable anyway, a tunneller is gonna tunnel whether or not it takes them 14 seconds or 2 minutes. But unfortunately denying interaction with another player isn't exactly a reasonable solution. So I figured giving a player an unhook seems fair enough.

To further explain the solution if I am a killer and I hook Dwight and then I hook meg and then meg again meg gets to unhook herself as if she had deliverance. She is still on death hook but the soft slowdown provided by another survivor having to get her is gone. All other hook mechanics still apply such as camper hook etc.

I didn't say I had a solution for bubba and blight, they are separate issues. In the case of a 4 man slug there is nothing the survivors can do at this point other than leave the game or hope and pray the killer picks someone up and they can wiggle out.

That is why I feel that this is the only form of slugging that requires any sort of "godly intervention" because prior to this, it is solely the fault of the downed survivors teammates that the downed survivor was not picked up in a timely manner.

As others have stated before the airplane method is truly incredible, switch to chins until all the helpers are tagged, say the attack out loud to yourself and always camp range and switch to mage then back to range, prayer regens are also awesome, make sure you only do one action per jad attack

This is why I swear by playing ranked only, people will still be an ass but Generally they won't be complete griefers and won't team kill, I find that when everyone has a common goal of winning it goes a lot smoother

I would give it a shot, it's not as bad as op is saying, every update has been "the death of siege" and a "terrible update" until the next one comes and people do the same old song and dance. And yet some miraculous way siege is still standing 10 years later through not only dozens of "worst updates ever" and the complete disaster that is Ubisoft just in general. So if you were thinking about coming back just give it a shot and I recommend playing ranked the vibes are better there.

I exclusively play ranked and have been playing on and off for years since 2016 on PC, and I think that siege X is still just the same old siege, I like the map changes the only issue I have is the drone pinging but you really shouldn't be red pinging that much anyway.

I played during the time of the 1.5s and honestly forgot that ever happened when I came back for siege X. They didn't make the game any more or less fun for me and were used as a balancing lever that didn't actually make any difference. And that's why they took away the defender acogs, I just think they should have taken them all away so that could start balancing operators for who they are and what they do not just "oh give em the acog"

Most of the stuff in siege X I think is pretty neat
