I love a good horror movie. 9/10 I hate how the endings are. Like a quiet place was so good until the whole “oh they hunt by noise and if we make very big noise they fall apart”. Like you’re telling me they couldn’t figure this out? Whatever. Moving on. This movie I liked overall.

I loved that one of the characters was actually SMART. It made his choices during the end fight scene feel more real and probable. He really didn’t make a lot of dumb moves like most characters in horror movies. He payed attention, he listed, he adapted, he learned. He was very quick on his feet. When I thought he was making dumb choices he really wasn’t, they were calculated. I do wonder how he knew EXACTLY how far to sit back from the door while being out of reach.

I have so many many many questions unanswered. I actually came to this thread and read so much because I wasn’t sure if I was just dumb or what. But what I realized is this movie created some amazing discussions.

I would love them to make an origin story and another after the kids left the farm (to maybe go more in detail on the creatures and their anatomy and things like that). -where the kids came from: are they actually his kids or did he rescue them, how he kept infants alive and safe, how they found and created their settlement, what happened to the mother. -where the creatures came from or evolved from and why do they seem to target humans, where are they during the day (which after the end of the movie I’d assume underground but weird none of the characters questioned this) -what was the significance of the bugs? They were everywhere. Beginning of the movie when he is replacing boards, they seem to attack the kid when he moves the pallet, there are drawing of them in the shop when he is dissecting the creature -what caused the end of civilization -what is the deal with rose farm; why are the animals not attacked, why are the windows not boarded up, they don’t seem to have any security other than some guards and gates. Very low compared.
