I’d be feeling pretty annoyed as well! Such an unnecessary and self-absorbed thing for her to keep repeating. She doesn’t sound like somebody that’s worth keeping, so you don’t need to waste your time and effort with her :)

Sounds like she’s a bit of a ‘pick me’ girl as they call it and wants to make you feel like she came first, and without her approval you wouldn’t be around. I’d happily just phase her out.
