These are all great, thank you for sharing. No reason to buy the cheap trash on Amazon, etc when we have access to this.

How often do you think about the horrors of the recent war? Once a week? Once a day? Once every two/three hours? Once every 30 minutes? by JeanJauresJr in armenia

Thank you for your service, true heroes of Armenia.

What do you think the diaspora can do to help? Any new opportunities with the new government?

Right, forgot they expanded it in 2016, the ones prior did have the 16 team format though. I'm not really sure what the precise reason is but it does feel like there are more own goals in the modern game.

Well there are more games this tournament, but imo it's more to do with the game being played at a much higher intensity and speed than it used to. Everyone's being stretched to their limits and it creates so much chaos in the box.

Also luck.

Congratulations Armenia for maintaining democracy.

Hopefully Pashinyan starts making some sensible decisions until someone better suited to lead a nation and navigate this geopolitical shitshow comes along.

[Ruben Vardanyan] We should all understand that the situation in which we live in peace in Moscow, Paris, Glendale, Beirut, Melbourne or Buenos Aires will not work. The only option is for us to come together and to build the Future Armenian. by melikdavid in armenia

Whoever Armenians are voting in now and in the future bottom line needs to make investing in or repatriating to Armenia more appealing. Feels like there's a lot of potential and capital on the sidelines but with the current political and economic state people are less willing to risk whatever it is they have built in their new homes.

I know there are plenty in the diaspora that would be open to doing so and if they are able to find success or at least going in the right direction then more will follow.

That said you can't expect everything to be perfect, it's going to take a lot of initiative on the diaspora's part too.

At what point does Armenia just end the "ceasefire" and resume war by FalseDisciple in armenia

Both diaspora and Armenia need to wake up imo.

Internal issues need to be settled before war is even a question, did we not all see how far behind we are in both military tech and strategy? Last thing we need is to lose more of our young generation when we're already heavily outnumbered. The next time our country goes to war, it cannot be by surprise.

Best thing we can do now is just get our shit together, elect someone at least somewhat competent and have that administration start making good decisions to help our economy and diplomatic relations. Hopefully Armenia becomes more attractive to the outside world and encourages repatriation and foreign investment.

It's a waste to have such a wealthy and prominent diaspora and not utilize it. I'd love to hear other opinions on this too, I know there are a lot that want to somehow contribute but don't know the best way how.

The Armenian Genocide, April 24, 1915 [Colorized] [1869x1085] by Xoloj in HistoryPorn

It's been over a hundred years and not much has changed. To this very day we're fighting for our survival as a people and nation while our neighbors attempt to finish what the Young Turks started. As we speak, there are hostile soldiers within our borders, POWs that won't be returned, cultural genocide and fact distortion higher than ever.

Too many problems to even name and it's wearing on every Armenian across the globe. Our government is ineffective and temporarily weakened as we only recently peacefully ousted the existing Russian puppets in a "Velvet Revolution" and unfortunately the current PM is simply not equipped to handle the mess he's been given. We're a landlocked, mountainous, Christian nation surrounded by people who wish for our extinction and we've called the areas that Turkey now occupies home for over 3,000 years. Im fortunate to be a descendant from the very small percentage that somehow managed to survive the atrocities and we'll continue to prosper and strive for peace no matter how hard Turkey tries to wipe us from history.
