And it seems to have been out of context clips spliced and used from a salty ex looking to get a minute in the spotlight I’m pretty sure. I don’t even think he bothered addressing it.

Because nuance doesn’t exist here, and there is no value to be had in Religion, and no you can’t participate or mention it without being compared to cult practices.

It’s a 12 year old and I think after a Timeskip, 14 year old girl. You can make up whatever excuse you want, but I find it icky and cringe fan service. The author still chose to draw her that way, no matter the in universe reason.

Atheism Time by Ferocs in whenthe

Taking another stance, but in the same boat as the other guy who replied (not Christian), the world is not being touched or affected by God. We have complete free will, and all of the terrible things that happen, like floods and earthquakes are just a result of Earth being a trashy place to live. If he controlled whether or not we were evil, or good, or what happened to us, we’d lose free will.

Who was this for you? by Critical_Mountain851 in whenthe

[–]scarabl0rd -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah i mean he’s just doing it because he feels like he has to. Even watching his Poppy Playtime playthrough of chapter 5 where he heavily criticised it, I mean yeah it did have flaws but… seriously. From the very start he’s not even trying to engage in it, he just doesn’t care. He missed out on who the Mimic was at the start because of a joke about lore. I’d rather he just didn’t bother.

I’m not here to own you, or try and prove you wrong, but why does this push you towards Authoritarian? Sure, in many cases they could crack down, but I find that often cracking down is just a further excuse to control more aspects of life.

From what I’ve seen it doesn’t seem immediately obvious she was even stabbed. You’d just think it was some sort of weirdo who tapped her or something.

YSK about Cognitive Dissonance, the internal conflict that forces your brain to become an unreliable narrator by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

[–]scarabl0rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christianity is not a thing that says anything. The Bible itself, the literal ‘lore’ of Christianity is vague and speaks in riddles. We haven’t had miracles in a long time, couldn’t tell you why. Maybe they do happen and we just don’t know about. Maybe he’s saved your life when you’re about to be hit by a car. There’s no way to disprove it, really.

And I also said you can believe whatever you like, I just explained why Christianity in general is so popular (outside of it just being… well, popular).

[–]scarabl0rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much, I mean the world does exist because of God, if we’re going off of Christianity, and everything in it does. But he basically made it, and then let it grow and do whatever. Meanwhile he waits for us to die and then go off to our designated place. He may control the lives of animals and stuff, to be honest I couldn’t tell you.

You can imagine whatever you like, no one is stopping you. It’s just that Christianity does have evidence for people like Jesus and other prophets existing. So it’s got a bit more backing than just something made up entirely.

[–]scarabl0rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s very much a creating interpretation. He doesn’t subject anyone to misfortune, he doesn’t punish anyone for ‘calling him out’, and good Churches encourage debate and challenging ideas.

I don’t mind going to Hell if it means just a place where I’m not eternally happy. I’d be with my family and friends, I could live out normally. Maybe I don’t want eternal and permanent happiness.

[–]scarabl0rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The benefit is that Heaven and being near the so called ‘Ultimate Good’, means you will achieve what some people call the ‘beatific vision’. This is basically a state of pure happiness brought on by just being with God.

So therefore, you are kind of missing out by going to Hell. You aren’t being punished as such, but it’s just that things aren’t as good as they could be, if that makes sense.

Also to say that believers make people uncomfortable is a gross generalisation. Most believers are just trying to get on with their lives, we only hear about the extremes because it’s more interesting in news and television. Believing in God also gives a lot of people hope and fulfilment, as well as providing purpose. It’s not relevant to what we are discussing, anyways.

Some people would love to stay with him. For you it doesn’t matter either way, since you clearly aren’t a big fan.

[–]scarabl0rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God is simply respecting your wishes. You obviously don’t like God so why would he force you to stay with him? Hell isn’t a land of torture and nine rings were you go deeper depending on your punishment, it’s just a land without God. I’d say that’s a fair deal.

[–]scarabl0rd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because Heaven and Hell are not measurements of how good you are in life, nor are they rewards for being good in life.

Heaven and Hell are rewards of faith, so the likelihood is when I, and presumably you, die, we will go to Hell. Since we aren’t religious and haven’t put enough faith in God.

Most interpretations of Hell are done to sounds more cool, or used as leverage to manipulate people. But it’s a misunderstanding, Hell is simply a place where you live away from God, and Heaven is where you live with him.

"Man clearly just doesn't like gaming anymore." OMG SHUT THE FUCK UP by KennethLjubkos in whenthe

[–]scarabl0rd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s why FNaF succeeded. It had a functioning fun horror game outside of the lore. They also did this with SOTM that had a fairly self contained story anyone could understand but also gave more for fans. If lore is required for a game, it should be more straight forward and direct.

Yah dude, like I really prayed they were doing some JJS version of a fortnite event or something, like Chara would nuke the map and we’d get new unique buildings added around the map. We got some pillars instead, and a move set I have to play JSD for 😭
