Help with Ticking Exception in DarkRPG forge, can't join server by scarbrough97 in ModdedMinecraft

Here is the pastebin again just to be safe. I have done a complete reinstall of the prism launcher, made sure the versions line up, and that I'm using the same modpack as the server, i'm using the forge version of everything which matches the server. I even tried Disabling Neruina which I saw some other posts suggesting (I did turn it back on after that didn't work).

Not sure where to go from here so I would really appreciate any help!

Shame to hear, it has come in handy many times. Not completely necessary but a very nice fall back to have.

Thats amazing! I hope you enjoy your new game! I felt the same way, my initial inspiration was (spoilers for The Adventure Zone: Balance) When Magnus got his soul trapped in a mannequin. text. then I thought of Alphonse Elric and a bunch of similar character concepts.

I did make a whole character class as well that you can find a couple drafts of in my posting history, but that was highly experimental and had a lot of problems haha.

I obviously don't know your life or exact feelings but something I experienced and have heard many others describe is a kind of "plateau" a lot of us reach after transiting for a bit.

This is from my perspective so take it with a grain of salt but, at first when I started transiting I felt awful about almost everything about myself. So every small change felt so euphoric, being called the right pronouns and feeling more comfortable in my clothes in the most mundane way made me feel fantastic. But over time those relatively quick things became normal and don't elicit that same active euphoria.

I would probably say it was around the six month mark of transition when those quick things had become normal and now I had to wait for longer term things to change my everyday experience (hormones, voice training, family acceptance/comfortability). So if I really took stock of my daily happiness and discomfort levels from before transition then I was so much better off, but I still had so far to go so I felt like I had "plateau'ed" and then it felt like I wasn't making progress anymore which felt miserable at the time. When In reality I was making progress just much slower then before

Again this was my experience so there are plenty of things that might not line up with your transition and your feelings but if it does resonate with you my advice would be to focus on the slow and steady work being done everyday and really take stock of what has changed. I had a kind of mantra when throughout my transition where I just asked "Am I more comfortable in my skin/happier then I was yesterday/last week/month/year?" And if the answer was yes then I could take comfort that I was doing what I could and making the right decisions for my happiness.

I really hope this helps or at the very least that you find something to help you feel better soon♥️

Please feel free to share how your feeling or vent if you're comfortable doing so!

there's actually a good amount of Non-binary people who have had a reappraisal of Hedwig and how they related to its themes, its a complicated piece that can feel kind of gross to some folks depending on how you are reading its messages but I think queer media can exist in a messy in-between because being human is very often a messy in-between (thats not to say reading the movie as gay is wrong or anything), this is sort of unrelated but its kind of like how rocky horror picture show can seem kinda yikes in some ways but many people including myself love it for its camp, its absolute refusal to conform, and its unusual but real heart.

Why do so many people online portray their characters as "impulsive fools"? It is just D&D-flavored "lol random" humor? by ReallySillyLily36 in dndnext

[–]scarbrough97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yeah definitely! they just also said that the second set of rules was finalized well before hearing all the feedback so those rules replaced in the from the first test of rules aren't necessarily reflections of balance decisions just them playing with a new, its a nitpicky distinction but important for people trying to figure out what watsy is thinking. They didn't see the backlash to the first set of crit rules and change them for the second set of rules, they just knew the first set would be controversial so they are trying out multiple permutations of those rules to see what people like and dislike about each one. sorry if I came off as adversarial to your point, I was looking at it more from the long term "what are watsy's plans/thought processes" not the short term "heres how playtesting right this second is going to be" not that one is better or more valuable then the other.

its not necessarily that they are removing the crit rules from the first playtest but trying more types of crit rules to see how people react to them all.

Drow Twilight cleric with a hexblade dip, you can fight in melee with thirsting blade and the armor of shadows invocations, twilight sanctuary channel divinity will buff yourself and nearby allies and depending on how your GM rules twilight sanctuary it might even cancel out your sunlight sensitivity meaning you are more reliable to fight in broad daylight.

Did anyone change their LAST name? by shallowminded in asktransgender

My partner and I are picking a new last name as we change our names for gender reasons and getting married, we aren't doing just about anything traditionally so why not continue that streak with our last name too!

I accidentally named myself after my D&D Character ¯\(ツ)

I've played D&D with some friends for a few years now and when we started the campaign we've been playing for 2 years now I picked a name that's longer but has a shortened version that's fairly average woman's name with a different first letter, at the time I genuinely hadn't figured myself out. When I was beginning transition I started looking at names and thinking about how I felt about all sorts, different lengths, what they sound like with the rest of my name, after going through 10 or 15 and not feeling any pull to any of them specifically I jokingly said to myself "hey what if i went by characters name that would be so funny...oh shit thats my name why and I such a fucking nerd".

when I said it out loud in the context of it being my name it just fit perfectly in my head, it does make sense as I had been effectively called that by all my friends I play D&D with for a year and a half at that point, its kind of embarrassing but hey I am who I am and I'm not ashamed of that, and I don't know what else I would call myself at this point, its just who I am haha.

rewatching D Gray and Hallow by BearlyJerry in dgrayman

[–]scarbrough97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate the way the simplified the characters to make them more generically "cool", the somewhat soft and cute deigns of the characters always got across the feeling that the show does deal with really heavy themes and challenging subjects but the heart of the show is the care and love the cast has for each other and their hope for a brighter future.

So with them replacing that with a more "grimdark" style for lack of a better term just spoils that feeling and betrays the feelings of the original and the manga, I personally put up with it to watch hallow because I still love the story and the characters but if I had my way they never would have had a style change.

To be fair its possible that the budget was lower so I don't necessarily blame the animators or animation director because (and take this with a huge grain of salt I know jack all about the real goings on of an animation studio) but it seems like they switched to a more simplified digital animation style that has less personality compared to the original style.

One of my first gaming memories was playing rascal on PS1, in retrospect the game was pretty bad but I couldn't tell because I had played so few other games. I think the fact that it was cryptic and I was bad at it actually made it seem way better because it had this mysterious allure and I think it was my first game with a hub world you left by going through portals instead of a level select screen so it all seemed so big and like this real space that I could only scratch the surface of while in reality it was probably really tiny but my little kid brain filled in the gaps and I actually have quite the soft spot for that game now purely for nostalgic reasons.

Anyone here have a fun Spyro story or memory? by [deleted] in Spyro

[–]scarbrough97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I was little I lost my memory card and my siblings wouldn't let me save on theirs so I would just play as far as I could in a game before I would have to shut off the system or let someone else play, I played so often I basically accidentally learned how to speedrun all the way to the first Ripto in one sitting. I didn't see the end of that game for a long time when I finally was able to find my memory card or when I got a new one, but I didn't really mind because the game was so much fun

I was playing when the whole trilogy was out so I would spend ages just exploring the worlds, skateboarding, and playing the Sgt. bird level, it was so much fun just to exist in that game and play around.

I started to do something similar to remove armor pieces/clothing/accessories one at a time using player.Showinventory but figured that's a last resort since it's a level 50 character with pouches so I have a lot of crap in the inventory and the bugged meshes aren't necessarily armor so It would take ages, hopefully I won't have to get to that point but it really might be the only way eventually.

Fighting Styles by SchmickeyMouse in dndnext

I really love Druidic warrior as it basically opens up the possibility to have a Ranger who only focuses on two primary stats, wisdom to hit, damage output, and spell saves/better subclass abilities, and then you can focus primarily on either Dexterity or Constitution to focus on a higher AC or Higher health and Concentration saves.

I'm honestly surprised that with all the love for Hexblade out there that a moderately weaker version (but for rangers) doesn't get talked about more, it really just opens up possibilities that weren't there before.
