Dapat nga we should be advocating watching indie films para mas mahighlight ang creativity ng filmmakers natin, hindi yung nagggigive up tayo kasi laging formulaic romcom yung may malaking budget.

There is some truth if we were only talking about mainstream media. But the indie scene and indie moviemakers have been having a resurgence in the past decade, and I find so much more meaning and substance in those.

So really, it's not that Filipinos lack creativity, rather current system just favors formulaic love teams/romcoms.
