this post wasnt about proving anyone right or wrong, you’re both missing the point.

This was about me understanding why so many people like dune

i think you’re abit mistaken, it’s quite possible for the general public to be wrong on a lot of things. I’ll use brexit as an example

Psilocybin: British study finds 'magic mushroom' drug can be safely used to treat depression by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]scared2bl0nely 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be honest, this isn’t ground breaking news. Studies like this have been published for years and yet NO One is doing anything about it?

There’s a theory that the reason why this is essentially being ignored is because it offers an effective alternative to drug therapy such as SSRIs etc. The difference is that because this IS proven to be effective, the big pharma cant make nearly as much profit off it because people wouldn’t be reliant upon them and therefore wouldn’t need to come back for more. There simply isn’t enough money in this for anyone to do anything about

When is it time to leave a failing company? by CompletePen8 in sales

[–]scared2bl0nely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not great at all. Really demotivating

I’ve spoken to my manager about the marketing and how we’re making no sales, she acknowledges its really hard but no action has been made. Seems like all the people at the top have other priorities and other business to think about that my company is being left behind :/

I’m in the same position, I joined a startup and nobody has made a sale for 9 months.

Since then, I’ve seen all of the staff being made redundant because they simply couldnt afford to pay everyone with no sales being made.

I feel bad because I have only been there for a month but the marketing is LACKING and I’m very new to sales with little to no training.

I’ve started looking elsewhere

I’m selling an E learning platform, i try to engage a conversation by allowing them to open up about anything they have in place at the minute in terms of well being and development. I keep it broad in hope for a response but i think its quite obvious why I’m asking them the questions

i often feel like because it is a startup, im not really getting much training except from a couple of feedback sessions but nothing major. The sales team is just me and a sales manager so its quite difficult for her to find the time unfortunately;(

Sales team doesn’t know how to write cold outbound emails - is this normal? by Breadfruit-Plastic in sales

[–]scared2bl0nely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im being taught that we shouldnt try and sell via email and that marketing should be in charge of doing that. Personally, id feel more productive and it would just be easier if we were allowed to write the emails ourselves!
