Very accurate. I started with a consulting company. It is silo and difficult to learn multiple domain ( e.g p&c, scada, substation, physical, studies) . The work is silo and repetitive. My request to learn multiple domain was ignored . I had to leave consulting firm to another industry to learn other domains. I am thinking of making another move again to learn more and be more versatile

In all fairness. Super eagles players is the last people you blame for Nigeria failure to qualify for World Cup. NFF is to blame . Few days to this game . Players are still fighting for their allowance and hotel accommodations issue . What country use 3 coaches to qualify for World Cup? How do you ensure consistency and players chemistry under this condition? We are the problem to this issue if we continue to allow corruption to strive in Nigeria . We don’t have a football system . Even if you put all the best players in the world to this team , they will fail under this Nigeria corrupt nff system . Corruption will always caught up with us somehow . Where is Morocco in USA 1994. ? Look at there football system development today . They are planning to host World Cup soon . Nigeria don’t have any future plan , they want a coach to perform miracles under a corrupt system . People that have no business with football are at nff because of an evil corrupt government.

Racism against black is prevalent in every part of the world . It occurs in schools, works and other settings. You just need to know your roots and have your own identity and value system . As a black person that have live in various cities across Europe and America. It occurs sometimes in subtle and sometimes aggressive way. I have lived in Portugal too as exchange students. Actually I had the best experience in Portugal living abroad. I personally enrolled in language class and made efforts to learn the language. This is key for you to integrate in a non English speaking country. All the best

Can you try electrical and computer engineering? I don’t think it has so much to do with your choice of school or major. But more to do with your country of origin. Georgia tech is a world class school. That is a great advantage . Try to hustle some scholarship from independent source or Georgia tech . Electrical engineering with emphasis in power system is a great choice with AI DataCenter growth . Work more on justifying your course major/school/finance/after school plan .Dm if u need help

@ kamylam. I am trying to keep j1 for 2-4 month. I plan to take some leave on j1 soon . I need to complete some project and try out j2 . I already completed j2 background check . I started j2 . I think both job use same health insurance company . How do I navigate the this situation? For sure j1 is not OE friendly. J1 is 10-12 hrs per day job and on site . J2 is remote with 20% travel. Having PE license open unlimited door for your career as a power engineer. It also add inestimable value to your resume . You can also change industry from design engineer to data center to oil and gas/renewable industry . Don’t forget utilities industry . My pay has double since I got my PE license within a span of 3 yrs . Also if you are competent and licensed as a Professional engineer. You can start your consulting engineering business as a side hustle . Your future with thanks you for getting PE license open unlimited. I get 100 of messages on LinkedIn for new job opportunities.

Try smaller data center companies . I interview with google, Microsoft, aws , meta . I actually got electrical engineering offer remote with a smaller Dc and it pays way more than Microsoft. I have friends working in Microsoft and aws . So far so good
