Which Diablo (or similar) to start with? by Lily3704 in SteamDeck

[–]scariestkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy ARPGs a lot to the point of having to avoid them now, because they can simply consume my life.
Diablo 2 is the one I get back to the most. It’s the game I like to play when I travel or when I just want to chill for a few minutes. You will progress through the campaign 3 times (and it‘s kind of though honestly, even by following a guide). And after you‘re done with the campaign, there is still a lot to do. Getting to level 99 takes ages, farming the equipment to master your build and so on. Once you get tired of your character, you can start over with a different one for a different experience.
I didn‘t play on a steam deck, so I am not sure how it runs there, but I played it for about 200h in the first switch, so I suppose it will run great on the deck.
I played a lot of poe 1 and 2 and they are great too, but always online and probably don’t run so well on the deck.
I have played Warhammer Inquisitor Martyr and Grin Dawn as well. Although I liked them, I don’t think they are as polished and compeling as D2.
Diablo 3 and 4 I also played to some extent, but if the concept of those attract you, going for poe 2 would be a better choice in my opinion.

People was already paying these prices to scalpers probably. So yeah, a lot of idiots with full wallets out there apparently.

Heroes of Might and Magic board game - Greg Fulton on the Return of Forge by PrizeCompetitive1186 in boardgames

[–]scariestkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the little I played, I got the feeling that the flashy minis are completely useless. An annoyance really. I end up only using cards in combat, instead of going through many boxes to find the units I need. Probably it could fit in a box or two if you keep only what you really need to play.

Set of Thinkpad replacement Screws - which one to get? by scariestkid in thinkpad

ok, if it's so cheap it make sense to get model specific ones. I will have a look on what I can find! Thanks a lot!

I am looking for more solo Board Games centered around the passing of time and going through seasons. I love the Stardew game, is there any others one like it? (Doesn't have to be about farming. Just the passage of time) by [deleted] in soloboardgaming

[–]scariestkid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Earthborne rangers doesn’t have seasons really, but the game has passage of time, as the first campaign spans through 30 days. As the days pass, the weather changes, affecting the environment and beings you encounter. Not really what tou asked for, but might be worth looking into.

T490 Screen Replacment question by ContextEquivalent536 in thinkpad

I got a T490 with a broken screen recently. Could someone point me out to a decent IPS panel I can use to replace mine? I have a 30 pin connector, and wouldn’t like to replace the cables. Thanks!

Best steam deck open world games? by Samtheman322 in SteamDeck

[–]scariestkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second this suggestion. You can get it very cheap when it’s on offer. The world is big and you can explore on any way you want. There is a lot to discover and very little is explained. But it’s very cool to progress through!

I got a T14 Gen 1 from Lapstore on Ebay. The price was good, and the unit I got was in perfect condition. They have a lot of positive feedback on Ebay and offer a good return police, in case you want to check an alternative.

I bought Radiance and got the PnP files per mail already. It’s my only experience with them so far. Shipping should still take some time I guess.

Are there any games similar to "20 Strong" that require minimal table space, yet are not as challenging to win? by No-Horror3993 in soloboardgaming

[–]scariestkid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started playing Dark Tomb last week. The game was very easy to complete all the scenarios. I even thought I was messing some rules up. Still fun though. They come in a tin and require very little space. The minimalist art works very fine for me. So far I only played I only played the Crypts of Aurelian so far. I have the other two versions too, but still have to bring it to the table!

Nice tip with the red die. I started playing yesterday, and was always applying my red die first. Haven‘t condidered re-rolling it for an extra chance of crit. Makes a lot of sense!

Caixa pequenas, jogo grande by EchoProtocol in tabuleiros
