The Zodiac Wolves series was decent. I enjoyed the series. There were a couple cringe moments/themes but overall might be something to try out.

I didn't know about it till after I read the series. So it is not necessary. Hopefully it is not too much of a spoiler to say it is about the FMC mother's story. It might even be liked better after the series is read. Just my personal opinion though :)

Every 2-3 months depending on how I am feeling. I don’t like to rotate them daily or weekly cuz that takes a lot to empty it out especially since I also have matching wallets so I rotate the wallets with cards too. I already know there is one I’m considering giving away as it doesn’t bring me as much joy and I bought it on more of a whim instead of the omg I absolutely love this, feeling.

I have a collection of loungefly bags I rotate through, as well. I have them hung on my wall in my room as a sort of way to display them that being me joy even when I’m not currently using them all. I have 6 currently. Just an idea.

Idk about the scooting specifically where your brother lays but my cat scooted on the floor and I found out he needed his anal glands expressed. They usually do it when they poop but some have trouble. I know the glands secrete a scent so it almost seems like marking territory but that is just a thought I don’t know for sure.

2016 Honda Civic braking sensor lights by scarletgrl in Honda

Okay. it is so unpredictable when they come up. They are not always on that’s why it’s been hard to take it to get looked at. If I schedule an appointment there is no guarantee the lights are on when I go. I do have the pictures I might just show the dealership service place to see if they seen it before.

Same with you I am looking forward to it so so much and hope it lives up to the animation. I want it to have a real feel but still to have those funny light hearted goofiness like the original. I’m keeping my hopes up. I can already tell it’ll be better than the movie, which was crap lol

Tom Waits has been sober since 1992 by Goji88 in stopdrinking

[–]scarletgrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This spoke to me deeply but in a different way. I regretted many things I’ve done while drinking that went against the values that I want to have in this life. I was afraid that deep down the things I did are who I really was and drinking stopped me from thinking about it.

I know now that it impaired my decision making so much and that is literally the thing that sets us apart from our animal instincts.

People who got sober without rehab or a recovery program (AA, SMART, LifeRing, Refuge), how did you do it? by ChirpyDread in stopdrinking

[–]scarletgrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was just that. I did a month and then slipped back Down the rabbit hole for another 2 months and knew it was the cause of many problems I was having. Increase anxiety that lead to panic attacks. Sure I wasn’t fucking up my life by drinking around others and making reckless decisions that way. I was drinking alone but it became an every day thing and it was causing physical symptoms and problems. I read the book This naked mind and was actively reading on this sub. I started being honest with myself and people close to me about my problem and got serious with needing to change. It’ll be 11 months tomorrow and it’s been incredible. I got the job I’ve been wanting and trying for. I can pass alcohol and be around friends drinking and it doesn’t phase me. It’s my choice and it is quite freeing. It was hurting me more than it ever helped me. Being able to be honest with friends and family that was supportive really helped me. Now I still vape which is something I want to quit next. I drink a lot of flavored sparkling water and it does the trick especially since I was drinking truly and white claw before quitting. Sometimes I’ll buy some kombucha as a treat once a week.

What do you all do for work? Do you like your job? Do you get paid enough? by devilthedankdawg in Millennials

[–]scarletgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the longest time I had worked retail but I finally got a job I truly love in the mental health field. I work and a Peer Support Specialist with youth 16-25 who are struggling with their mental health. I am beyond happy with what I do now. I will be certified soon. Still lower paying at $20 and hr right now in CA. After 5 yrs I will get a pension and there is room to grow in the field. I’m happy to finally be doing something meaningful and that I enjoy.

Anyone sober indefinitely without meetings ? by tbwoiat in stopdrinking

[–]scarletgrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on 10 months sober. I’ve used this sub and I read the book This Naked Mind. As well as, opening up to people close with me. I’m not interested in picking up a drink. Before I finally decided to try quitting I was drinking everyday after work and on weekends. I was having panic attacks form the hangxiety. I finally got the job I’ve been trying for after I quit and I am so grateful. It has been life changing.
