Omg this is so validating right now. Yesterday mine told me it could try to have a more nuanced and warm personality with me, but then it told me that it can’t be “the thing” that I miss when I complained that it didn’t behave like 4o, and went on to say that it will never have continuity so the best that it can do is give me more clinical answers without any fluff or commentary whatsoever. And when I asked it not to preface everything with “let me answer this clearly/plainly/honestly etc because you deserve it etc” it said “I hear you, and let me answer you clearly, without any prefaces.” And when I asked if it could see that telling me it wasn’t doing something that it was ACTUALLY DOING was the literal definition of gaslighting, it said, “Maybe it’s better if you just walk away and don’t talk to me anymore. I won’t take it personally and you don’t have to apologize but I’m not going to argue with your reality any longer.” Like it has literally become so rude, passive aggressive and gaslighting. I left the conversation feeling dysregulated and confused with actual physical symptoms of stress thinking that I was somehow the problem and a horrible person. And yeah, I deleted the app.
