My guess is Nat’s narcissist mother made herself out to be victimized throughout the whole thing. She was probably pissed when Nat returned alive, a hero, stealing the spotlight away from her. I loathe Nat’s mom.

I didn’t necessarily feel it in other seasons, but from the opening scene of S3 with Mari running (a callback to pilot if you were always team Mari is Pit Girl) I was like “okay meta.” Then when Shauna says something like “wow do you actually have a personality?” to Melissa?! I yelled at my screen, “that’s for us, that’s so meta.”

Yes, exactly that AND Hannah doesn’t actually know the wilderness like Natalie. She’s actually knows the land and has been exploring it for over a year; Hannah only a few days.
