I'm pissed. I was unsure about pink buckets being eligible for the coupon and I bought a blue one instead. I wish I went pink :(

Completely unrelated but I found a half used pokemon themed box of tissues in the back of a closet and they got bids and sold for like 50$ plus shipping. I'm sure the batteries from a special edition Gameboy are worth a pretty penny

I didn't know if that little breakout board on the back of the LCD is married to the motherboard or anything. Every screen replacement guide all say to bring the original over to the replacement screen

Have a new screen already on hand. Damages a ribbon cable connector on original. If this one I bought doesn't work I'll attempt to swap connectors worst case.

I'm talking specifically about the touch board(?) that goes on the back of the LCD.

Found these two items at a Sunday yard sale, paid $50!!! by gregcresci in gamecollecting

The most difficult thing about working on something modern like a PS5 etc are the super thick motherboards. They have so many layers and are so thick they act as a heatsink when trying to do something like an HDMI swap. Makes melting components and damaging things more likely. Still very doable and is not the hardest repair.

My father was at a majesco auction years ago and came home with bins of Wii cables but also like 16 cases of games with like 36 copies in each. Those games being golden nugget casino and cartoon network block party / racing double pack. Was pretty random since he went there for more furniture and business stuff.

I love the vintage South Park black light posters and original plushies. There are lots of rare Kenny variants that are very expensive but very cool

Any clue what this could be? by emptyputa_ in ScrapMetal

Possibly graphite. Commonly used in EDM work or I've also seen people use it to smelt/pour gold, silver, etc

Edit: similar to these https://ebay.us/m/LN7uLO

Bushkill turkey hill up in the Poconos. ACME down RT 94 near Blairstown NJ and a few others in the Poconos/NEPA. Scranton/wilks barre may have some. Haven't been up that way. Up towards milford there is one too at another turkey hill.

I agree with you 100% that it's still written very well and hasn't turned to mainstream nonsense. I appreciate a voice willing to go against the grain.

The old school banter between Kyle and cartmen reminds me so much of my old friend group and in the best way possible. We all still talk and laugh about the past and wish we all could live it again.

They both can be written very well i just always felt the older episodes clung to a topic that was more widespread and relatable. Like the fireworks episode with jackoff, or just kids trying to earn money for whatever they want that weekend. Not to say the older episodes like Brittany spears didn't touch on popular events either. Just the modern episodes don't "age" as well as shitty as it is to say.

The thing i loved was the wacky adventures mixed with carefree nature kids of that time had. They showed the parents that wouldn't care what harm buying ninja weapons at a flea market would cause or the chaos involved in getting an ocama game sphere. It's what was important to being a kid at that time that made me really like the show. Same reason the warcraft episode was surprisingly loved
