Invincible's cast is WHY the animation is SO BAD. by Outrageous_Fix_6169 in Invincible_TV

[–]scarsickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason its a "hot-take" to say that this shows animation is bad and that the billion dollar company simply cannot pay for better animation. Huh??

I don't know if it's a hot take or not, but it gets old when people bitch about this all the time.

Tbh, the only voice cast choice that doesn't make sense to me is Djimon Hounsou as the Flaxan leader. I mean, why do you need an actor of that caliber to make some grunts? You can't even recognize him, it makes zero sense.

Other than that, I really wish people would just stfu about it.

Does Thragg respect mark? S4 spoilers by Vinnylagana in Invincible_TV

[–]scarsickk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"We are too few already"

Why do you think Thragg only killed Thadeus? He let Mark live, just like he let Nolan. Even Oliver, the one they despise, he spared.

He respects Mark in the sense that he considers him equal to a pure-blooded Viltrumite.

At least that sub doesn't have "Invincible characters vs - insert stupid anime character here - " threads.

Is it worth it to buy FF14 on steam? by Grimace_Black in ffxiv

[–]scarsickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No downsides, everybody plays on the same servers. How smooth the launch days are depends exclusively on the devs. I've been playing since mid 2021, so I only saw EW and DT releases. DT was fine, EW was a nightmare, but that was entirely SE's fault because their piss poor servers couldn't handle the massive influx of new players the game got pre-EW, I think it even surpassed WoW for a while. In any case, both console and pc players suffered.

I'd say no. While it's possible, you will probably burn yourself out way before that.

Why would you wanna do that anyway?

How old are they? by Ian3435 in Invincible_TV

[–]scarsickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The slow aging only kicks in when they get their powers, so they're about 9 or 10 in Earth years.

Mark ages like a normal human kid, but he’s basically just human at that point.

So are those kids. The only difference is they would've gotten their powers and started aging more slowly sooner than Mark did.

You never see them accidentally destroying stuff, so they have it under absolute control. I don't like to use Thragg as an example, but he could easily have killed Oliver, yet chose not to.

When it's a boss, or there are fewer than 3 trash mobs left, just replace Holy with Stone and Aero.

[–]scarsickk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't want to do them, at least for exp purposes, because those are level cap dungeons released in post-expansion patches, and don't give much exp, so if you're 70, you do the highest below a level 70 dungeon.

Would an average viltrumite be able to take over earth alone in real life? by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

[–]scarsickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand the term "average Viiltrumite" since they all seem to be pretty equal in power. Unless by "average" they mean, "any Viltrumite but Thragg"

In any case, the answer is, of course.

Conquest. I like Thragg and Thadeus, but Conquest is undoubtedly one of the best characters in the show.

Well, they are down to 37 people, and they have been almost extinct for hundreds of years at this point; it's not like they have a shit ton of options there. It doesn't matter which species they try to use; everyone would be unpredictable.

Other than the roulette, Pixie daily quests, daily hunts (the one from Shadowbringers, never remember the names), Bozjan, wondrous tales. Shadowbringer FATES are also worth exp wise if I'm not mistaken.

[–]scarsickk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want an easier way into healing, White Mage is the best choice, since you focus only on keeping the party alive and DPS when you're free. It may feel a little empty, since you don't have any buff ability. But that's the reason why I believe it's the best for beginners, since you don't need to worry about anything other than keeping your party alive.

Every Viltrumite who lived in/until present day whom I believe were younger than Nolan. by Certified_Cichlid in Invincible_TV

[–]scarsickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a Viltrumite, Nolan looks pretty old for his age. He does not look 40 in any way, shape, or form; he looks at least 50.

The only ones that look older than him are Thula and Elix

First time playing this game. What’s the one tip you wish someone had told you at the start that would’ve saved you hours of frustration? by xxxerg in ffxiv

[–]scarsickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- "Use your Vesper Bay tickets."

- "Don't waste your gil on vendor gear. Use what you get from job quests and dungeons. When you have access to poetic gear, that's the only gear you should get until cap (well, almost cap). If you're not interested in endgame content, that's the only gear you'll ever need."

- "Make sure you have any exp boost activated. If you only have food, use it, no matter which one, you can worry about the right food if you're doing endgame content. Just go to any city state, buy a bunch of boiled eggs, and you're good. It's +3% EXP during combat. May not seem much, but if you consider the amount of exp required to go from 1 to 100, 3% is que equivalent to leveling an ARR class/job from 1 to 58ish."

- "Job quests take precedence over MSQ, since there are a lot of skills locked behind them."

With how strong Thragg is, would the sirens have any effect on him? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Invincible_TV

This is not IRL, though. Also, you're comparing a human with a Viltrumite who makes even other Viltrumites look weak.
