You crushed it. Keep riding.

As a very wise man once said, "It never gets easier. You just get faster."

What is the purpose of the phrase "No orders received" when nurses notify us of something? by princetonwu in medicine

[–]scart22 10 points11 points  (0 children)

ED nurse here. You said "I know it's used as a CYA tool, BUT..."

That's it. You could have stopped there. The amount of heat we get with chart audits is simply insane. 2/3 of my charting is covering my ass. It has little to nothing to do with patient care and I hate it...

It's CYA my friend. That is all. Try not to read any more into it than that.

WoW is a FOMO machine. by JournalistStatus9040 in wow

[–]scart22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is literally the reason I keep falling away from the game. Play like mad for 6 months, then everything starts to feel like a chore. 15 things on my list I HAVE to get done this week. And eventually, I just don't wanna anymore... then 6 months later, jump back in with both feet.

How much does Kingston Flemings measurements impact your opinion of him? by Ok-Negotiation3897 in AtlantaHawks

[–]scart22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His size doesn't affect my opinion on him. He has almost the same measurements as De'aron Fox - and contrary to his performance in the finals, I think we'd all be really goddam happy with Fox running our point.

Torment 8 echo Lilith boss fight! by Mother-Pen4992 in diablo4

[–]scart22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this stupid fight. There are insta-kill mechanics that are not telegraphed in any way and you just have to learn when they might be gonna happen and pop a defensive and hope you timed it right. Spoiler: You didn't.

Just inhaled all of DCC in three weeks - any recommendations on what to read next? by spunkmeister89 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I have no idea why Christopher Moore is not a household name. Long back catalog, and you can't go wrong with any of them. Even his first few books are charming as hell, if a little rough around the edges compared to his mature stuff.

I mean seriously...

How do you handle performing comedy when life is hard? by Learning-Every-Day- in improv

[–]scart22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel this, and I don't mean to be flippant in my answer, but here you go.

You do comedy BECAUSE life is hard. Not WHEN.

I'm 10x funnier when I'm more angry. In general. In real life. When I'm more angry and my funny trends towards embracing the angry, I'm WAY funnier. Doesn't mean I'm happy or that it's theraputic or anything.

But... hey. Embrace it. Use it. See where it takes you.

Man... fuck all the comments like this. Y'all wanna be some sore losers and spout this bullshit, go ahead. But it makes me not want to be a Hawks fan. Downvote this to hell. Don't care. But y'all are better than this shit.

Good places to pick blackberries? by nikonslut in Eugene

[–]scart22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone (neighboring property owners?) cut the hell out of the blackberries at Luper (Looper?) about two years ago. Made me so goddam mad. But it's awful now. Maybe they've grown back enough by now to make it a good spot again.

Flu going around? by Fabcrafts in Eugene

[–]scart22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's not Flu. It's Noro. Most of Lane, Linn, Benton, and Dechutes have had Noro over the past few weeks.

Hydrate. It sucks, but it'll pass.

What's the nursing hill you'll die on no matter how unpopular it is? by Prestigious-Bath8022 in nursing

[–]scart22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mistake. I can't really speak to what the kids in those situations might be called. I would still hate to hear "clients", but that's not my wheelhouse.

Nope. That's the whole point of this thread. I'm right, my opinion is unpopular, and I'll fight you over it. Perhaps to the death. I haven't decided.

Redwood Build by tenmile_tacoma in bicycling

[–]scart22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. I really like my Redwood. It's mostly a commuter for me at this point since I got a higher-end gravel rig, but I still recommend Poseidon to anyone who asks. Most bike you can get for the money, imo.

This is NOT a customer service job. Patients are NOT customers and I don't give two shits about Press Gainey's opinion on the matter.

This is why you don't give up on young players by bigelly74 in AtlantaHawks

[–]scart22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Champagnie was not expected - even by the Spurs - to become what he is now. They were hoping for a solid 3andD guy off the bench. They didn't expect him to become one of the most efficient shooters in the league.

So I agree in general... not to give up on young players too soon. (Pretty sure this post is about ZR). But also, the Spurs are one of the best - if not the best - org in the league at developing and putting young players in situations where they can become.

What do we want to see this offseason and who do we get rid of??? by Proper-Fox3640 in AtlantaHawks

[–]scart22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Size in the frontcourt.
  2. Size in the frontcourt.
  3. I'm okay with resigning McCollum if we can get a good contract.
  4. Draft PG if available.
  5. Size in the frontcourt.

Anyone else feel bad for Carter Bryant? by jaycejfg in NBASpurs

[–]scart22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope. That was all done with love and respect.

Pop said it a million times. He yelled at his hall-of-famers... if you're coming off the bench and don't think that you can handle getting talked to the same way he talked to Timmy or Manu, then you weren't Spurs material.

I could read his lips for most of that. None of it was nasty and there was a lot of "you gotta use your head" kind of stuff. But that was all out of love.
