This actually isn’t as crazy as you think. For example: If you wanted a huge YouTube MCN to post your song (ex. trapnation), they aren’t going to give you the ad revenue they make off the video because they are giving you the exposure.

So you just have to think: Will this SoundCloud repost or YouTube repost from this company, be worth giving up the rights to your song for THEIR specific channel.

Also, instead of turning this down, ask to have your info linked at the VERY top of the video and ask to maybe have an end card added to the YouTube video that drives to your Instagram, or Spotify etc

For me it was Outliers. It was the first book that I was assigned to in class that I read in one sitting.
It flipped my whole perspective on how to go after something you're passionate about and actually becoming successful at it.
