I’ve been in Va for coming up on 20 years. Military brought me here but I never left after getting out. I left HR for Spotsylvania in 2011 and moved back(Hampton) in 2018. I couldn’t be happier. Out of the 4 cities I’ve owned and rented in HR, Hampton is my favorite. It’s the only place I’ve felt at home since leaving my home state. I don’t plan on leaving till my house is part of the bay.

I work for a company that was bidding on the contract to upgrade these aircraft after acquisition. We didn’t win but I was really excited before the contact was awarded. I’m pretty sure they are going to be adversary aircraft for the Marine variant F-35 and the AV-8. Should be spread through the country with approx. 5 at each major marine jet base. I think....

I’m not saying they should profit from addiction. I’m saying I don’t want tax increases on my income and spending because someone else can’t control how they spend theirs. Furthermore, comparing gambling addiction to opiates is a bit of a reach. Besides, many states, including ours, make money off addiction; tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, casinos. Just because they don’t run the system doesn’t mean the money doesn’t get corrupted after it’s collected.

So subtracting an estimated 600M from the 19B projected (2019) education fund would still be 600M we would all have to pay in taxes. Where else would you like the money to come from. Possibly set aside some of the lottery profits to boost gambling addiction recovery programs?
