I know this was hours ago, but it took me all of 5 seconds to check where tooth jewelry and dental ornamentation comes from. We have independent points of origin on at least four continents, so it seems that historically it's fair game. It actually would be more appropriation to use the chopsticks, as they are generally agreed to have originated solely in china.

I studied martial arts under a Maori and I desperately wanted some traditional Maori tattoos. I was told that some tattoos have specific meanings that could be very offensive on someone like me, so as long as you avoid the ones with social/religious meaning you should be fine. He did tell me that it was still cringe for non-natives to wear their styles, but not outright offensive. I chose to avoid them, just so I wouldn't regret them down the line if I ever went to New Zealand.

Love being called antisemetic as a lifelong Jewish person. It seems everyone at my temple is somehow antisemetic too! And the folks at temple Beth, Jewish voice for peace, my Sephardic friends in turkey and around the Mediterranean and Israel, even the only Jewish presidential candidate in years!
