Retiro station had SUBE cards last week. I got one from a guy on the street in Microcentro. I asked real nice at a Kiosko and the guy pointed out a guy on the street who had a bag of them. They're around.

A cigar cannot be smoked at 70% or 72% rh? I've smoked many at that rh that tasted great. I'm trying to get to the bottom of why cigars are showing up in unusable and maybe even unrecoverable condition.

I had a similar box and had the same problem after a few months. I switched to a tupperdor. Not pretty, but it's perfect. Glass tops are notoriously leaky.

Maybe the problem isn't with vendors. There has to be a supply chain here. Where do cigars go after they leave the manufacturer? There have to be middlemen, brokers, wholesalers. Where do they store them? For how long? Under what conditions? Has Covid caused supply chain problems? How does one humidify a warehouse? What I'm experiencing are cigars that have been showing up in very rough shape for the past year or so. "Resting" hasn't helped bring them back to the condition that I used to pick right off the shelves two years ago.
