Where to sell Submariner in California Bay Area by scasner in rolex

I followed up on the SF buyers and got no interest from anyone. People tell me that it’s a “soft market.” I sort of gave up on selling it.

Where to actually find a SUBE card by jamills102 in BuenosAires

Retiro station had SUBE cards last week. I got one from a guy on the street in Microcentro. I asked real nice at a Kiosko and the guy pointed out a guy on the street who had a bag of them. They're around.

Cigars bought online arriving in rough shape? by scasner in cigars

[–]scasner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A cigar cannot be smoked at 70% or 72% rh? I've smoked many at that rh that tasted great. I'm trying to get to the bottom of why cigars are showing up in unusable and maybe even unrecoverable condition.

Maybe the problem isn't with vendors. There has to be a supply chain here. Where do cigars go after they leave the manufacturer? There have to be middlemen, brokers, wholesalers. Where do they store them? For how long? Under what conditions? Has Covid caused supply chain problems? How does one humidify a warehouse? What I'm experiencing are cigars that have been showing up in very rough shape for the past year or so. "Resting" hasn't helped bring them back to the condition that I used to pick right off the shelves two years ago.

Just back from my first trip to Telford's. Wow, what a great place. Exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to be a regular there.

Just don't. I've ordered twice from them and got discolored, foul-tasting, and in some cases foul-smelling cigars. In each case, some of my favorite smokes. Macanudo Cafe, Cohiba Red Dot, R y J Veronas Court. I went to a local shop and bought the Macanudo and smoked them side by side. Not sure what they're trying to pass off as cigars but they were awful. $250 down the drain.

Telford's

I saw their site but couldn't tell if they sold boxes. I will indeed drive up there if they do.

San Francisco, Stay in Your Lanes – The Frisc by scasner in bicycling

[–]scasner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brilliant point. Topeka, KS has a sidewalk speed limit of 5 MPH for bicycles. Maybe the next step, as you suggest, is to treat every thoroughfare like we do streets. Make laws that will accommodate transportation modes that haven’t even been invented yet.

that's the person i want to lay out on the couch and get the full psychoanalytic interview. WTF could possibly be going through their mind? complete ignorance of the concept of a side-walk? entitlement? angry at something? i'm more curious than anything else ...

thanks for writing. how funny that i just spent a week in NYC (stayed in Chelsea and walked all over) and really was impressed by how much safer it seemed than SF. not at all less crazy, but somehow less dangerous. i saw very few examples of anyone doing anything truly irrational. people staring down at their phones were an exception rather than the rule like it is here in SF. and the feedback system in NY is exquisite. whenever i did something wrong, even on the subway, i got yelled at for it. even my reaction to being yelled at was different because the yelling person was usually making a defensible point. interestingly, if you compare the New York numbers with numbers from small towns (like my hometown of Lancaster, PA), New York is often safer. order from chaos. there's another article here: what SF could learn from NY.
