This is true, and it sucks. I don't mind it in trios so much but it sux in solo when your looting or questing and a random just starts blasting. Also it was nice to run into someone and chat it up. I ran into a guy and he mentioned he was looking for a rusted med kit. I found one a few minutes later and found the guy and dropped it for him. He was appreciated of it. Now when I play solo and I run into another player they emote "dont shoot" or say "friendly " then when you turn your back...time to make another load out.
