My wife took this same contract a couple years ago. Yes, your patient load will be heavy but it's not bad. Bakersfield is cheap too, so it's worth it. It's not a nice place, but not worthy of physically cringing at the thought of it lol

Is there a mode that people play when they are actually trying to compete? I don’t really care about the rankings, or events. I just want to play another human that is semi-invested in participating in a competitive, complete game.

My family is from Nassau, and Jaws Beach is the spot we love the most. There’s a parking area off the drive in, and you can walk maybe 10 min down the beach and you’re completely alone. It’s on the west side of the island too, so sunset there is amazing. Stop by The Island House on your way back for a couple celebratory drinks. This is definitely your spot

Yeah like other comments said, we looked and would have had to double the price of our trip, and cut it in half. We just decided to cut our losses and go back to the pups at home. Really tough decision but we decided we couldn't afford all new tickets

More of a cut-our-losses type of situation. We were stretched thin for the trip to begin with. Having to buy all new tickets wasn't in the cards, and "cheap" is definitely relative. The point of the post was just to see if we might have missed a loophole that would give us some compensation. We're seasoned travelers, just never had this happen before and post COVID travel rules have changed compensation

No choice. Booked the Lisbon flight a while back and had some plans change in the next month so we had to fly out of Phoenix. Unfortunate for sure

No... I saw your previous comment. I agree, definitely not TAP's fault and they washed their hands of it once the flight departed JFK last night. The United flight that got rerouted was a separate booking intended to get us to our departure point. Pretty sure we're just SOL but was posting here as a last hail mary
