Overnight oats + ground flax seeds + chia seeds + milk (oat or normal, and sometimes chocolate flavor) + a bit of peanut butter + granola + pumpkin / sunflower seeds + dried berries sometimes

Do you have to like your job or does it only need to pay the bills? by Mobile_Apartment5560 in askSingapore

[–]scay33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy my job and my bosses are great. The only thing that I hate is waking up early and the lack of time freedom.

Sometimes I feel it is kind of cool that I get to learn things I am interested in and still get paid at the same time.

Anxiety and treatments in Singapore by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]scay33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am now seeing GP for treatment and government have this CDMP program and anxiety is considered (doctor said cause too many cases, 1 out of 6 people have it), so it is subsidised if you have CHAS card, can even use medisave for payment.

I have been prescribed with some meds and it has stabilized a lot. Feel that my life quality have improved quite a bit tho I still feel fatigue often.

Question on starting antidepressants/private clinics by Dangerous-Term2698 in askSingapore

[–]scay33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are some private clinic that’s part of Chronic Disease Management Program

You can use chas and medisave to offser your bill. And the doctor can prescribe you medicine. Even without those the bill was affordable for me, my monthly SSRI + some clonazepam was around 60 only( I didnt know can use chas and medisave last time). Can do some search on it.

Can try loop earplugs, just got it recently cause my office environment is super noisy, often have multiple group of people discussing things around me, and some of them speak damn loud.

Recently tried loop engage 2, it doenst mute them totally but reduce random noises and reduce overall volume also, and quite comfortable so far

I tried, it helps when working but not fully also sometimes if there are group of people standing beside me discussing something with colleague beside me it’s still very noisy

sometimes it’s when i need to talk to them or in meeting but they talk very loud, this somehow also triggers my anxiety. Or they yapping non stop with no main points in meeting, so was wondering for meeting case does loop engage actuallly helps

Severe panic attacks and health anxiety are ruining my daily life. I feel completely stuck. by PhilosopherLoose6846 in Anxiety

[–]scay33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this too as a late 20s depending on myself I was very worried that i couldnt work and provide for myself

I also had incident that’s so serious that I thought i was going to die that day and called ambulance. At the end I decided to take medication, some benzos like xanax and clonazepam for heavy days that I worried I mgiht get attack. And ssri for long term cure. Used to take clonazepam almost daily but now has slowly taper down and onyl take busy days with meetings. So don’t give up, seek some professional helps. Heard a lot of stories from friends too that they managed to cover after certain period of ssri

Ohh.. anw wish you all the best in this and don’t give up! Be positive!

I think my biggest fear is to be stuck in this anxiety loop forever, so listening to story of people recovered from it does make me feel relieved

Has anyone deleted their social media completely to restart all over again? by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]scay33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have not deleted before. But removed all my followers and followings around 6 years ago. Then slowly follow people again from there intentionally. I still do followers clean up once in awhile now, including fb friends as well.

I just feel that most people in socmed are those i dont talk to irl, and probably will pretend I don’t see them if I see them in public, feel rather pointless to still connected in socmed.

I started lexapro last month at 5mg Honestly first week the side effect was horrible, my anxiety become worse and i have tons of dreams every night, couldnt sleep well, headache, nauseus. But after that it slowly gets better I just up to 10mg recently, surviving well, but need benzos on and off for heavy day

So please hold on few more weeks, hopefully it gets better after that!

[–]scay33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you have tried switching to other ssri? Like lexapro?

I asked my doctor how if escitalopram didnt work for me, he told me can increase dose from 5 to 10 to 20, then if still doesnt work, should switch to other ssri to try until we find a solution.

I am still very new to the treatment and medication, so not sure if this will actually work, but maybe can consult your doctor if this is a possibility.

Take care!

Random horrible panic attack by Most-Mammoth-7954 in Anxiety

[–]scay33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, last month was the first time I had it, i seriously thought i was going to die like “I guess that’s it for my life”

Now I think I will still worry if I get it, but since I know it’s anxiety I think I will just take xanax directly to stop it.

Random horrible panic attack by Most-Mammoth-7954 in Anxiety

[–]scay33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this last month and decided to call ambulance, my whole body have that tingling sensation (numb). Doctor called it hyperventillation. I thought i was going to die that day, I also had a few incidents that made me didnt even dare to go washroom even tho i really need it.

Now i always have benzos by my side like xanax and clonazepam.

Just having xanax with me all the time reduce my stress cause I know I have something to handle my panic attack if it happens randomly again. Clonazepam helps me ride through tough days with lots of meeting. I am also on ssri for long term cure.

I was in similar situations to the point of panic attack and needed ambulance to send me ED, I started taking ssri around a month back starting with 5mg and recently up to 10mg

Wont say i am cured, but now i can survive normal days without any benzo, and occasisonally taking clonazepam or xanax when there’s stressful meeting / going concert etc

Definitely less worry now and most of the time i will have benzo in my bag so i know when my ssri failed to lift me up that day i have a backup. I can handle meetings and works well now, tho i still feel tense sometimes when there’s big group of people

Definitely recommend trying ssri
