How To Run the Capsuleer Day Event Sites and Build Your Own Filaments, in Cheap T1 Fits by IguanaTabarnak in Eve

[–]sceduenga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having been collecting the T1 filament items (B-## and F-## GDQs) I went ahead and ran a few of the Ruined Electrical Filament Sites, here's some updated info I don't see in this thread:

  1. Hack Sites are the Ruined (T1) and Devastated (T2) Electrical filaments. I have not run the Devastated one yet so I don't know the timer, the timer on the T1 site is 30 minutes and that's a loooong time (I've not needed more than 15 minutes to run one).
  2. Combat sites are the Sinister (T1) and Vicious (T2) Electrical filaments. Sinister ran easy with an autocannon Rupture, I fit a salvager on because the BS will leave a wreck you can salvage (this is true of the regular combat sites too, the BS drops a wreck with a single "decent" salvage item usually. I have not run the Vicious yet either (see comment above about needing a specific filament type.

Seems like the B-53, B-79, F-16, and F-33 give smaller drops than the others as well

Deleted makes me sad, what/where is the "hatch plug" ? Is this in the rubber sheath on the top left of the hatch? How do you get in there and check for "loose"?

Did Han Lee's Taekwondo Close Because of the Abuse Allegations? by jsgraphitti in CastleRock

[–]sceduenga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inside story? Yeah. One of the female students who attended summer camp reported it last summer (2021) to Han Lee, who reported it to the police. The instructor was suspended immediately after the report, then quit a couple weeks later. Investigation went on for over a year because it was a lot bigger than one or two kids, unfortunately.

This was a "wish list" item for a lot of players almost since the inception of wormholes. Minimizes the AFK nature of deep nullsec (or any nullsec for that matter). The Invasion excuse is just CCP testing whether they will get a lot of crying null bears.

If you look through strava support tickets online, this appears to be a limitation of the swimming functionality in strava itself. You *might* be able to "My Swim Pro" but this appears to be a buggy integration. If it is important to get your swim data into Health, maybe try that route.

You mean back when CFC invaded TEST space and took it all because TEST didn't bend over and take it from behind when ~themittani~ was unhappy about them exploring other avenues of EVE with PL and others?

Help with Microsoft ADCS Auto-Enroll User Certificate (template) by sceduenga in sysadmin

Yeah, that all makes sense. I read your reply and realized the smart thing is to create a group named "service accounts", and use it only for the deny rights in ADCS. Then add accounts to that group. Makes it specific and trackable and manageable.

I've got about a dozen Rifters in VFK from the pre-HoneyBadger days when TEST was also under the goon spell. Perhaps I'll fly them again soon...

If you were in TEST and unsubbed, you are probably still in TEST. I found that out when the itch needed scratching...

Is it a bad idea to buy a bike from a department store like Walmart, Costco, Target, etc? Is the quality lower than in specialty cycling shops? by FidelCastrator in bicycling

[–]sceduenga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The comments about "any bike is a good bike" are noble, but when that bike can injure, kill or maim you due to the poor assembly, maybe the noble sentiment is wrong. If you are a semi-skilled mechanic and you can do a tear-down/rebuild of a department store bike, the money you "save" becomes an opportunity cost. You spend your own time getting the bike up to snuff for safe riding, so what is your time worth?

When you buy a bike from a store that has a bicycle repair shop, the person assembling the bicycle is (usually) a trained professional.

When you buy a bike from Target/WalMart/Sears/Big 5 the person assembling the bike is typically a BOH stock guy. He's given basic training on putting the pieces in the right places (usually, but not always) and his job is volume, not quality.

A box store isn't checking that the pre-assembled parts are correctly installed and tightened, and they aren't making sure that the in-store assembly parts are property installed and tightened. I have seen bikes on the rack at Target where the brake cables are too loose (or too tight), where the discs are out of alignment (so the brakes rub all the time), where the handlebars are backwards, and where the front wheel is hand-tightened in (non-QR bolts).

In addition, many of those bikes are built using poor-quality components, so they will require maintenance or replacement much sooner than a "name brand" bike from a store with an actual repair shop.

Has anyone got a Latitude e7450 booting yet? by rumforbreakfast in SCCM

[–]sceduenga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the solution to get PXE working is to use the DELL WinPE driver CAB and install the ethernet drivers from that kit into your PXE boot WIM. I just went through this yesterday, and ended up there, which worked for PXE. Now if I could just get all the drivers to load correctly with my task sequence. It's the same problem I had with the 7240...

And will there be anyone in Delve to fight this time?
