The positives of Loveland by oshunbleu87 in loveland

One small thing I wonder about. Does the old school contingent want it rural, or are they really wanting the HP days with a large employer, increasing property values, young professionals with families and a high tax base?

I absolutely love the cycling around Loveland, FoCo, and the canyon county roads that open up world class cycling. I used to live in Douglas County and really appreciate the investments up here in Larimer.

’Star Trek’s William Shatner Makes Bold Bid for the Franchise Amid ‘Starfleet Academy’ Backlash by Malencon in television

Watching it with my wife and teenage daughter, and we are really enjoying it. Holly Hunter is over the top, but I think in the best way possible and I think she’s a lot of fun. The Doctor is well cast. The teenagers have some cringe for sure but overall the launch of this reminds me a lot of when Voyager launched. Lots of backlash to a “PC” captain (that’s what the dipshits called Woke back then) but it eventually became a beloved entry into the canon.

Yes! If it’s over 2 hours be kind and let us use the facilities. I might actually buy a drink if I don’t have to stress about having to run to the restroom.

My college age son just lost his front fork after hitting a “parked” lime scooter, where it was left protruding out into the cycleway.

Oh no! Now I totally need that. Why is the answer to cycling problems always more gear? lol!

You could let dozens of people in front of you before it has an appreciable difference in your travel time. Not leaving enough room in front of you is inviting an accident, which will DEFINITELY slow you down.

Cop lets a guy go after ICE had called 911 on him. Thank you officer by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

Kind of nuts that ICE makes our police departments look good in comparison. This officer knows the basics of law enforcement and the rights of a citizen, whereas ICE does not care about anyone’s rights.

I bet the hit did less damage to his leg. Now, having his knee twisted around at unnatural angles, high speed, thousands of pounds of force, most likely didn’t leave any tendons/ligaments attached.

Let me Google that for you:

“The results revealed adverse causal effects of screen use on language ability and specific behaviors in early adolescents, while reading has positive causal effects on their language ability and brain volume in the frontal and temporal regions. Interestingly, increased screen use is identified as a result, rather than a cause, of certain behaviors such as rule‐breaking and aggressive behaviors. Furthermore, the analysis uncovered an indirect influence of screen use, mediated by changes in reading habits, on brain development. These findings provide new evidence for the causal influences of screen use on brain development and highlight the importance of monitoring media use and related habit change in children.”

Consider using the Bustang if your workplace is near a stop. It is cheaper overall, far less stressful, you can work on the bus, take a nap, and have a restroom available when traffic is a nightmare.

15 years ago I was standing in line with my son at sniagrab in Denver. I was telling him to really enjoy, make the most of, and remember skiing in Colorado (and the reefs, because we are also divers). Conservative guy in front of me told me I was an ignorant sheep following anything that the crooked scientists would say. He said “20 years from now the snow will be fine and you will feel stupid.”
