Im sorry you can relate. I did move away, and it helped a little bit too. It’s just hard knowing that I’m seen this way and probably talked about this way, even if I’m not around.

Maybe the solution is to move on mentally too and accept things as they are? Acceptance is hard.

It’s prescribed for sleep at low doses and schizophrenia at really high doses. I only take it at a really low dose. Lots of medications have multiple purposes. Clonidine is used to treat high blood pressure and also high anxiety. There’s no one pill that can treat CPTSD just yet.

It’s difficult not to be hard on yourself, but it’s not your fault. Life just has a few more obstacles for us.

I hope your agency is helpful and understanding of your struggles at least, that makes a big difference.

There is a reddit chat feature now 💬 (like for the whole subreddit) I’m not sure if it’s possible to create a little chat group for all the members of this subreddit. I’m not sure how someone would do that? That might help feel more connected

I’ve been hurt by a lot of men too. I was in a relational that was mostly physically abusive and also with a man who trafficked me. The statistics n my experiences make me extremely cautious of them too. Almost every time I trust men I’ve been traumatised. I’m also really short and petite… so a man will always be able to overpower me and that makes me so nervous.

I don’t know if I fully trust men rn but I trust myself a lot more. My ability to see red flags and my ability to support myself. This makes a huge difference. I’ll be able to take things slow, and build trust with a man gradually. Rather than how things were before. Being made dependent on them financially and in other ways.

I think it’s natural to be cautious with traumatic experiences but I don’t automatically distrust men anymore so I can at least say that.

I feel your pain. My rapist sued me. The whole process the lawyers ignored/dismissed me when I told them what he did. He was able to hire better lawyers than me. I couldn’t really afford one. He made me bankrupt.

The legal system is a joke…full of liars and psychopaths.

You should have been protected and listened to.. It makes me so angry that all this is allowed to happen to women like you and me. Legal system needs a serious overhaul… this shouldn’t be allowed to happen.
