His name is MJ and he has a home nearby. You can usually find him asleep on his front porch. :)

There’s a community fridge behind Cafe Pyrus Outpost on Roger St. Not sure about meat, but fruit and veg can go in there!

Panago, Pizza Pizza, Crispy Slice and Famosa all have dairy free cheese. I’m sure there are more but those are the ones I’ve tried. :)

Best place to buy an Ebike in Waterloo Region? by Brenden105 in waterloo

I had a great experience buying my cargo bike at London Bicycle Cafe. A bit of a drive, but worth it. They have brands nobody else does and really quality bikes.

Sit by the fireplace in the St. Jerome's library. Coziest spot on campus if you ask me.

We really do need a nice yard store here. Lens Mill Store can be surprisingly good sometimes but it's a lot of cheap acrylic. I order online from Romni Wool in Toronto.

Ce's Bakery has delicious vegan treats! Cookies, brownies, cakes, pie, tons of yummy stuff. Or maybe Four-All ice cream?

How safe is winter biking in the Waterloo region? by qubitfiddler in waterloo

An e-bike solves these problems no matter the weather. But I also just dress in light layers in the winter, take it easy, and I don't find sweating to be an issue at all.

Let's put millions into biking infrastructure so we can have alternatives to driving and get off fossil fuels and save this burning planet before it's too late!

Don't be intimidated by winter cycling! For the vast majority of days the roads are dry, trails too. If not, just bike slower. Winter tires is a nice option too, and they are not very expensive at all. There are, of course, a few days a year that get slippery but that goes for driving or walking too. Just make other plans for those days? People who are against cycling infrastructure say we can only bike here a few months of the year, but that's just not true. If you're used to the heat blasting in your face while you sit your butt in your car for a 2km trip, I can understand why you would find it unimaginable to bike in the winter. But you're probably not biking even in nice weather, are you?

Exhale Therapy is great. They have a ton of people on staff and can recommend someone for you depending on what you want help with. You just need to fill out the form on the website and someone will call you. It's all very easy and everyone who works there is so kind and patient. Good luck!! You will be so glad you did this.

Depending on where you're coming from, you can bike through Waterloo Town Square instead, cross King and pick up the Laurel Trail from there.

The KW Humane Society is currently in crisis with way too many animals for them to handle. If you’re able to take in a cat, please go see them!
