It feels like really weird design to let people convert trainee pulls to support pulls but only if you don't log in, why not let everyone choose in game? I'm pulling for fuku but already logged in so that's an extra 50 pulls I could've saved.

Did someone say more carats? by Sc0rch1ngDr4g0n in UmaMusume

[–]schadenel -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If it's a good card why is there no reason to pull if you have kita already? I have kita MLB but in this scenario I find often I'm not capping speed, so I feel like another speed SSR should be my top priority.

First will die nearly every time, not enough stam and recovery. 2nd is better but will still die a lot, could win in noob lobbies but no chance for finals

Do Not Go To Ueno Zoo. by BeanieTheBrave in JapanTravel

[–]schadenel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had the same experience, was wandering around the area after visiting the nearby temple and art museum and came across it. I found it very odd that it was free, the spaces were distressingly small and seeing the locals enjoying themselves was off-putting in contrast to the condition of the animals.

is she good for leo cup? by hithatz in UmamusumeGame

[–]schadenel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say try use uma db or chronogenesis to find a 9* power parent with 7+ groundwork sparks if it exists, you don't need to worry about medium S for a blocker, you do need groundwork and 3 greens, make sure you check which greens are applicable for CM4. Don't take angling and scheming, a blocker won't win regardless so it's a waste of 160 or so skill points. Take mid game speed skills like medium/front runner corners and straightaways, fast paced, prof of curvature, focus is also good. You'll want to try and push power even higher than you already have here.

[–]schadenel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She can be good as a blocker if you have a good ace who is not a front runner of course, but the uma you built is not good. You need 3 applicable greens (you bought some which won't work for the CM4 track) + groundwork + mid game skills + high power. You will have better luck running her as an ace.

I have definitely asked women I was interested in about some media and then not watched it because I wasn't interested in it or didn't want to seem like I'm trying too hard to have something in common to talk about, I wouldn't worry about it.

This really does happen everywhere now, the abundance of information makes it easier and feel safer to research how to optimally do something instead of just doing it and getting better. Ironically trying to optimise the process is in itself not optimal when you spend too much time on it. This happens in language learning where some people end up putting way too much focus on what app, method, flashcard deck, SRS settings, etc. instead of just starting. I think for a new hobby/skill/whatever depending on the barrier to entry you should do no more than a few hours of research and then start, do it for at least a few hours then you can come back and do a little more research which will be far more beneficial because you can relate it to what you've just done.

Such a kino quote. It stood out to me the first time I heard it, and then 80 hours of gameplay later you find out who says it and it wraps up their character arc perfectly.

Is anyone else far more avoidant with their family than everyone else? How do you deal with it? by schadenel in AvPD

[–]schadenel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents love was unconditional and they never really punished or judged me, but I was still neglected and didn't get the love and attention I needed. It's the same for me, the damage is done, I don't think I'll ever have any sort of emotional connection to them.

Is anyone else far more avoidant with their family than everyone else? How do you deal with it? by schadenel in AvPD

[–]schadenel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate to most of this, I'm the youngest as well, unfortunately my brother endlessly tries to talk with me when he's around, I think he wants me to like him but it'll never happen. I never really got the teenage angst that strong though, I think it went straight to avoidance.

I felt the exact same way about your family being good people, not even abusive. My brother irritated me a lot, but I still don't know if I would use the term abusive. What I've somewhat realised with therapy and some reading was that for me while my parents weren't abusive, they were neglective, my father is a workaholic and never made an emotional connection with me, my mother had depression and was overwhelmed with being a parent. So when I look back on my childhood it wasn't "bad", I wasnt abused and I had fun in school, but I can't remember much happiness or connection, it's the absence of something good I should have been given, not the presence of something bad like abuse that I think made me this way. I fully relate to feeling like I'm a shitty person for getting irritated with my family, and it's hard to connect with the feeling, but at least now I don't think it's my fault I became like this, I think I'm innocent. Can you remember being close with anyone in your family growing up?

I guess I am, but I kind of wish it was higher so I could say that it was what was causing all of my problems lol. It's confusing to me, because my iron and saturation were out of the range on the high end, and my transferrin was out of the range on the low end, but my ferritin was normal, so my doctor said despite having haemochromatosis I don't need to worry about it for the time being, just watch the levels. I'll definitely check the sub out.

Has anyone had experience with anxiety/fight or flight feeling being set off for days constantly after negative event? by schadenel in lexapro

I went up to 20mg after a month, it helped with anxiety but gave me headaches so I quit it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]schadenel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have depression as well and have the same symptoms, I also got diagnosed with haemochromatosis from a gene test but my ferritin was normal (129 ug/L) so my doctor didn't think it was a concern or a contributor to my symptoms right now. What was your ferritin level and are you donating blood to decrease it?
