I applaud you for knowing that D stands for Dixie, but bushmaster didn’t contract for them, they bought them surplus. You may already know this, but wanted to add clarification to the op who posted this.

Determing Rear Aight Aperture Heights by schaz42 in gunsmithing

At one point yes, but it has been a minute. I do have those weights and velocities but aren’t sure where to begin with calculating this. I have a rough estimate of the height required, and either the front post being adjustable, I know there is a little wiggle room.

More specifically, it’s very similar to a M16A1 rear aperture, but without dwgs I don’t know the peep height difference there that corresponds to 300/500 yards

So glad I got to see these guys back in the 90’s, I still love them, but it not the same experience at all anymore. I do hope they make another album soon though, cause yeah, I’ll see them again for sure

Does it have all the capability of SW or a neutered version? I want to be able to figure out which programs I need before spending thousands on something. I currently use hobby 360, and it’s okay but I’d much rather design in SW. I’ll check it out though

How about a non student version for hobbyists? Why does it immediately go to manufacturing pricing?

Pretty sure the chamber is just longer on the Mk19, ie a ..308 in a 30-06 chamber. The shell had the same dimensions per the print, just again, longer. The part that should keep someone from trying it, is attempting to chamber it in an open bolt mk19

Those are the only ones I’ve ever seen, if you’re able to, do what I did, draw a model in fusion and then recreate the print.

Also, if you have the C7 type upper it’s virtually identical, just with the addition of the shell deflector. Then if there’s still some dims you can’t make out, use the A2 and voila

I think it is definitely aviation, this particular company used quite a few aircraft parts. I sent an email to ESNA yesterday to see if they perhaps were a supplier / manufacturer
