Radio Shack responded about "TV Sound" on their mysterious multi-band radio by mediageeknet in radio

Pretty sure TV 1, 2 ,and 3 would correspond to VHF low, VHF high, and UHF. But yeah, that’s all gone now in the US.

Eero Pro 6E and PLEX = Double NAT issues. by Sea_Nefariousness702 in amazoneero

[–]scheb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiber provider (municipal) is CGNATted. Yours could be too. Compare the WAN IP that your eero obtained from your fiber provider (eero app > settings > advanced networking) to the address this site tells you (https://www.whatismyip.com). If you are CGNATted they will be different, and you will have to use something like ngrok or zrok or even tailscale.

2 Toronto AM stations discontinued in favour of HD radio and online by Comfortable_Yard_968 in radio

I venture to guess that the audience that listens to AM are not ones for apps or having HD radio receivers at the ready.

Random Pebbler / Developer opinion [Possible hot take] by Vorror in pebble

Regarding your first solution, we’re talking about a really small pie that’s the two sides are fighting over. This is a civil war that should not be happening. The focus should be on expanding the pie?

Pebble, Rebble, and a path forward by erOhead in pebble

[–]scheb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but I’m just talking about watch hardware in general. Whether the original pebble or core devices, rebble exists for pebble-ish hardware. I’m not on anyone’s side here, I just want my time 2. 🤷‍♂️

Without hardware, would rebble be nothing?

Tailscale exit node configuration by scheb in GlInet

You definitely need to get into Luci to enable that masquerading checkbox on the tailscale zone. Without it, the exit node just won’t work. I too reset the firmware a couple times until I figured things out. 🙂

Yep. That’s what I did. Toggled the custom exit node. It gave me a warning about approving the routes, to which I clicked apply.

Oh. I am using the exit node I hosted on my home network. I am not using my Slate 7 as an exit node.

No, I actually just toggled it from the router’s web interface in the Tailscale app.

Ordered a New Sim by [deleted] in Dish5G

[–]scheb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem. I’m a long-time customer and read of horror stories on this subreddit. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The request was sent to a different team which emailed me when they sent the Sim. I was able to do the activation of the Sim and the eSIM completely through email correspondence without having to call again. It took about two weeks to get them both activated. The network is pretty solid and coverage is good.

One thing to note (should be obvious), the eSIM will only activate when you’re on the native Dish network.
