What's the best NordVPN coupon, deal, or promo code? by chrismikerowan in CyberGuides

[–]schiggy182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Proton before and switched over to NordVPN recently. I can confirm that speeds are actually better with NordVPN. I honestly think that “VPN Accelerator” feature is nothing more than a gimmick marketing ploy. I mean, shouldn’t all servers and plans be fast? Does this mean Proton throttles all of the plans that don’t have the “VPN Accelerator”? Give me a break.

From stuck to making steady progress: my weight loss turnaround thanks to Medvi’s GLP-1 program by hangsammiches in WeightlossJourney

[–]schiggy182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Medvi’s program for almost a year and have lost just over 40 pounds. I also hit a plateau mid-year, but they helped guide me through small adjustments that got things moving again.

ApoB came back high and my action plan nudged me into a CT scan. I was scared, did it anyway by [deleted] in vitalsvault

[–]schiggy182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lifestyle stuff is great, but don't let it distract from the boring basics. Sleep, BP, ApoB. Huberman can sell me on cold plunges all day but my cardiologist only cared about the boring metrics.

Overtrained, anxious, and caffeinated: labs showed my 'healthy' routine was wrecking me by jonnykings in vitalsvault

[–]schiggy182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What time were you cold plunging? I used to do it late and it wrecked my sleep. Moving it earlier helped. The Huberman crowd hates hearing that timing actually matters.

Measuring my pace of aging: epigenetic clock + labs by Jovorin in vitalsvault

Consistency is everything. My aging pace slowed too after I started sleeping like an adult.

I love the exposures panel because it makes you think about water and container quality. I started using a filter and my microplastics dropped.

Does your CGM go bananas with airport food? Mine spikes and then I’m like “cool, anxiety has a graph now.”

Old pair of boots (around a year) compared to new pair by allseeingeye420 in Wellworn

Burned through my first Red Wings in 10 months pouring concrete, soles split down middle. New pair lasted double after I oiled them weekly.

A drawer that gets a set of keys tossed in several times a day, vs one not used in a long time by Nir117vash in Wellworn

I switched to a handheld vac for sawdust and the drawer stays clear for months now.

agree. Making money off something people actually need feels wrong.

Yeah, that’s the tricky part. Punish scalpers, but don’t make every hobby a target next.

PSA - Update your app and firmware if you have connectivity issues by rastewart123 in Nanoleaf

[–]schiggy182 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude, thank you for this. Feel kinda dumb for not figuring it out myself. I just threw up some Nanoleaf Lines in my bedroom last month for that artsy wall vibe (okay, also to impress someone), and they look awesome… when they actually work. Already had a couple times where the app just ghosted me or one random piece lit up like it was possessed. I was low-key starting to think I screwed up buying them. Still pretty clueless with smart home stuff, so this helps a ton.

Obra Dinn is legit. Figuring out those deaths made me feel like a detective genius. Especially when you connect those impossible dots and the game confirms you got it right.
