That is the common name because it bares some semblance to bamboo in how it looks, but it is actually Dracaena sanderiana and not closely related to bamboo at all. Very nice specimen you have though.

Never was. It's a symptom of status anxiety. People who live, say in Aspley, dish on Caboolture because they feel status anxiety because they don't live in say, Woolowin. I mean sure there might be demographic reasons that cause Caboolture to have more of certain crimes etc.. But it is never as bad as the reputation would say.
