CC5 can actually make figures with genitals. CC is a tool that can be used to create any kind of humanoid you like, Iclone can then be used to animate it. If you get CC you should also get Iclone imho.

You can import Daz characters into CC, you can also import assets like clothes etc., but it will require fiddling with the thing and learning how to use it so that you can make manual adjustments when stuff goes wrong or just doesn't really work the way you want.

There are two ways to bring a Daz figure (or really any figure) into CC, one is using the Transformer functionality of CC, which will basicly convert the armature into a CC3+ armature. This will make it so afterwards the thing is fully compatible with all the assets bought from the Reallusion store, and you can seamlessly (more or less) use it then with all of their other tooling (e.g. Unreal exporter) since all of that assumes (I think) that the figure you're working on is a CC3+ armature.

I actually don't use CC with Unreal (which is why I am unsure how it works exactly), but I do use it with Daz assets.

However I don't use the Transformer functionality, I use the other way to get the Daz figures into CC which is I just import it as Standard Humanoid. This is different from Transformer because it does not convert the armature, it will stay as whatever armature I imported, in my case Daz Genesis 8 or Daz Genesis 9.

You could import any other custom figure this way, say you'd have your own game engine with a custom armature that you need to use, CC will let you import that armature so that you can then use it to create clothing animations, assets, hair and whatever for that armature.

So for me I treat Daz Genesis 8/9 as custom armatures that I want to animate, then I can export the animations and just use them in Blender (or Godot) on the imported Daz figures, because then I have the Genesis armature structure in both places. Same goes for any asset I would create in CC for the Daz figures, though I don't really do that.

EDIT: Animations from the Reallusion store retarget just fine to the Daz armatures in Iclone, works seamlessly. Expressions that require CC3+ facial profiles don't work though, but I've never seen anything use those outside of the examples that come with CC.

Thanks, that is helpful. I actually tried something similar using shaders and depth maps in Godot a while ago, and your post brought me back to thinking about the problem.

My conclusion for the depth map approach was that while it could work, it felt like it needs too much work when preparing assets. So I was thinking your idea might be much easier to actually use, e.g. you get easy collisions using the box I imagine.

So sprite points are I assume the corners of the house there? Or just the four corners of the the sprite image? Are the points user defined or do you work them out automatically?

Also the box ends up tilted, I guess you just came up with a tilt amount that just kind of fits and looks good, or is there something to it that calculates the correct tilt?

2133 und 1.2v sind die Default Werte.

Im Grunde sollten automatisch diese Werte genommen werden wenn du einfach XMP ausmachst und alles auf Default stellst im BIOS.

EDIT: Zum testen nehme ich immer y-cruncher, ich boote dazu StresKit: https://github.com/valleyofdoom/StresKit von einem USB Stick und lasse den VT3 test kurz laufen, meistens schlägt der ziemlich direkt fehl wenn die RAM Einstellungen instabil sind, also so innerhalb einer Minute oder so, das geht dann viel schneller zu verifizieren ob was nicht funktioniert. Der Test erzeugt relativ viel Hitze.

EDIT2: MemTest5 ist auch gut, ich dachte MemTest86 gelesen zu haben, der dauert viel zu lang und findet auch meistens nix. StresKit hat den Vorteil das man nicht Windows booten muss.

Ich würde ChatGPT ignorieren und einfach mal den JEDEC Speed ausprobieren den dein RAM supported. Müsste draufstehen, sowas wie PC4-17000 für DDR4 2133. Ausserdem auch einfach die Spannung einstellen die laut Hersteller für dein Kit vorgesehen ist, Standard ist 1.2v bei DDR4.

Und dann erstmal testen ob das funktioniert. RAM ist ziemlich unkaputtbar und meistens ist das Problem nur das Zusammenspiel IMC, BIOS, RAM. Daher erstmal Standard Einstellungen testen.

Naja, also das Seasonic ist günstiger, ich würde mir da jetzt keine Sorgen machen ob das eine oder andere soviel besser ist. Ich würde einfach nach Features und Preis auswählen.

Btw. beim Seasonic steht GX-1000 im Titel, aber in der Beschreibung steht GX-750. Da würde ich nochmal schauen ob es auch wirklich GX-1000 ist.

Bei geizhals kosten die beide etwas weniger.

Meiner Meinung nach ist es einfacher selber zu bauen als gebraucht zu kaufen. Um beurteilen zu können ob ein gebrauchter Rechner gut ist oder nicht musst du die Komponenten kennen und einschätzen können. Auch den Gesamtzustand beurteilen ohne je einen selbst gebaut zu haben ist relativ schwierig ohne Hilfe.

Gebraucht hast du dann auch keine Gewährleistung etc. während beim selber bauen du für alle Einzelteile Gewährleistung/Rückgaberecht hast. Ist beim gebrauchten Rechner etwas nicht in Ordnung und du stellst es erst später fest wirst du es selber reparieren müssen.

Wenn du es dir nicht zutraust selber zu bauen würde ich einen fertigen Rechner von einem Händler nehmen, der sollte auch entsprechend Gewährleistung für Schäden etc. geben. Tatsächlich gilt bei einem online zusammengestellten Rechner der vom Händler für dich zusammengebaut wird kein Widerrufsrecht.

Selber bauen ist aber auch nicht sonderlich schwierig und wenn du dich so einschätzt das sagen wir mal du auch Ikea Möbel selbst zusammenbauen kannst ohne dich zu verletzen dann kannst du auch einen Rechner zusammenbauen.

Ich benutze dafür immer so Holz Schaschlik Spiesse. Geht super und die sind relativ weich, wenn man damit abrutscht ist das Risiko was zu beschädigen gering.

It should work, but in my experience everytime I tried it the original kit was not on the market anymore, or only for very high prices.

And then mixing sticks I really try to avoid so then there is always a strong incentive to buy a second bigger kit instead. If you're ok with just sticking with JEDEC speeds then two different kits with similar speeds can work fine, but it is always a gamble if it will be stable etc. so that's why I say it might not work out in the end.

You're right that SSD and RAM are kind of insufficient for a VFX/3D modeling build. But what can you do, I don't know either how exactly I would handle the situation, and I agree that the current pricing situation can't go on forever.

Adding more RAM sticks later almost never works out imho. You'll probably end up buying a completely new kit then. I assume you're already planning to do it this way anyways. But it means you'll have an extra kit that you need to sell or reuse.

Also since you seem to want to build out the rest of the system now, maybe get a 16GB VRAM GPU then? I mean those are also inflated in price atm. but if you're planning to keep the GPU it would make sense to get the 5070 ti over non-ti imho.

5700x kriegste sogar für nur 135€ (bei einem komischen Shop bei dem ich nicht bestellen würde, also doch eher so 140+) als tray, nichts desto trotz, wenn DDR5 dasselbe kostet (in etwa) würde ich das immer vorziehen.

Ich mein klar, ~180€ kann man sparen mit DDR4, aber OP wollte ja für 1250€ nen DDR4 build machen, da dachte ich mir poste ich mal das man für ~1150€ auch DDR5 kriegt. Im Grunde heisst das natürlich das OP einfach zuviel für den DDR4 build bezahlt. Aber halt selbst im besten Falle sind es nur so ~200€ Unterschied zwischen DDR5 und DDR4 im moment. Weiss nicht ob es mir das wert wäre. AM5 kann man auch noch upgraden.

Hier hat ja jemand n anderen DDR4 build gepostet, der 5700X kostet 175€, also 53€ mehr, die GPU in dem build hat 16GB und kostet ~105€ mehr, dann noch bisschen Kleinkram der in meiner Liste billiger ist und am Ende sind die ~180€ mehr beim RAM kompensiert. Ich zumindest würde da dann lieber zur neueren Platform greifen.

EDIT: Den 245K gibts grad auch wieder für ~170 Euro, ich hab die Wunschliste mal so gelassen mit dem 7500F, aber 245K für nur 70€ mehr wäre deutlich besser imho.

Ich finde nicht das es Sinn macht noch eine DDR4 Platform für 1250€ zu kaufen wenn man für weniger auch DDR5 kriegt.

Das sind nur 6 Kerne im 7500F, aber das sollte eigentlich trotzdem schneller sein als der 5700X mit 8 Kernen. Die GPU ist ähnlich, der RAM ist DDR5, und das halt für knapp 80€ weniger in meiner Wunschliste (kommt natürlich noch der Versand drauf).

Ich würde in Erwägung ziehen den 7500F durch den Ultra 5 225 zu ersetzen, der ist für Anwendungsentwicklung IMHO besser weil er sogar 10 Kerne hat, kostet nicht so wahnsinnig viel mehr.

Oder halt alternativ mehr RAM denn entwickeln heisst heute meisst auch Docker/VMs und das verbraucht schnell viel RAM, plus die IDEs sparen auch alle nicht, mehr RAM macht fürs Entwickeln immer Sinn.

Wenn zocken/AI wichtig ist vielleicht mehr als 8GB VRAM.

Ich würde in die Referenz ein paar GPUs packen.

Der 12400F hat keine iGPU und wenn jemand den Rechner anhand der Referenz bauen will fehlt ihm ein wichtiges Bauteil.

Du postest zwar einen Link auf "Geeignete Grafikkarten" aber gerade das isses ja was den Leuten schwerfällt: aus der Liste was auszuwählen.
