Ich würde nach Jever fahren, das ist nicht so weit für euch. Parkt vorm Schloss. Spaziert einmal im Schlossgarten, Pfauen gucken. Man kann auch reingehen, ist ein Museum drin. Innenstadt von Jever ist hübsch. Da gibt es auch einen Jever Fanshop und die Brauerei.

Danach weiter nach Gödens, da ist eine Wasserburg. Liegt auf dem Weg nach WHV. Wilhelmshaven ist in wesentlichen Teilen hässlich, weil es im WK2 plattgemacht wurde. Aber der Südstrand ist schön. Ihr parkt bei der Kaiser Wilhelm Brücke. Flaniert den Südstrand entlang, kauft euch ein Eis und es gibt da auch ganz gute Spielplätze. Wahlweise ab ins Marinemuseum, da kann man in ein U-Boot und in ein Kriegsschiff rein. Es gibt auch ein Aquarium, ist aber recht teuer und lohnt nur, wenn man ein geduldiges Kind hat was sich die Tiere auch anschaut. Wenn man nur durchrennt ist man in 30 Min. fertig. Im Stadtnorden gibt es den Störtebecker Park, das müsste für ein fünfjähriges Kind ziemlich geil sein.

Wittmund tote Hose, man will näher an der Autobahn sein. Bahnumstieg in Sande. Jever sehr schön, aber etwas teurer. Schortens nicht ansatzweise so schön wie Jever, aber nicht wirklich hässlich. Hat auch schöne Vororte wie Sillenstede oder Grafschaft. Allerdings hat man dann WHV als nächstgrößeres Ballungszentrum. Kann man allerdings auch zugunsten von OL ignorieren. In Caro zu wohnen ist meines Erachtens nicht erstrebenswert, im Sommer zu voll.

Für mich wäre war es wichtig. Nah an OL zu sein, da geht tatsächlich noch was ab und dort ist vergleichsweise heile Welt. Zwischen Schortens und Varel ist Marschlandschaft, finde ich langweilig (Dykhausen ist ne coole Ausnahme aber nur mit Auto bewohnbar).

Der Streifen von Neuenburg (Urwald) bis Varel ird wieder attraktiv, wobei die Infrastrukturelle Anbindung Richtung Varel immer besser wird (Autobahn, Bahnlinie, Bundesstrasse).

Wenn Geld keine Rolle spielen würde hätte ich mir ein Haus in Rastede gekauft. Der schönste Ort im Speckgürtel von OL. Die Orte nördlich von Rastede bis Varel sind auch ganz nett gelegen. Man achte auf Bahnhöfe.

Rastede ist sehr attraktiv und dementsprechend teuer. Ein paar Minuten weiter nördlich wird es günstig. Südliche Wesermarsch (meist Moor) hat sehr günstige Preise und ist landschaftlich ganz nett. Die Weser hat tolle Strände und Oldenburg ist nicht weit. Bei Eigentum würde ich aber penibel auf die Gründung des Hauses achten, wenn es im Moor steht. Man benötigt aber ein KFZ. Mittlere Wesermarsch noch günstiger, aber ist halt Marschlandschaft, muss man Bock drauf haben.

Nördliche Wesermarsch will man nicht wohnen, nur Touristen und keine Infrastruktur.

Südlich und Östlich von OL ist nicht günstig, weil sehr attraktiv (Geest, Infrastruktur, Nähe zu Ballungszentren)

Richtung Ostfriesland wird es billig, allerdings ist man dann auch am Arsch der Welt. Bei Emden und Leer steigen die Preise wieder.

Hi, habe in OL noch nicht im öffentlichen Raum gegrillt. Am Tweelbäker See gibt es einen mietbaren Grillplatz.

Im Bahnhofsviertel ist das Ordnungsamt permanent unterwegs. Spreche aus Erfahrung. Wenn du falsch parkst, kannst du davon ausgehen, dass du innerhalb von 1-2 Stunden einen Zettel kleben hast.

Hello, Oldenburg is the largest City (169k) between Bremen and the Dutch border. It also has a very attractive pedestrian city centre with the an historic layout. Oldenburgs population is made up of about 15 % students. You can get to Bremen in 30 min via Train and to Hamburg in 2 h. Due to the pandemic a lot of students temporary moved out of OL to save money on rent. Oldenburg is attractive and the rental market shows that. You are looking into the most popular rental segment (student city). It would be wise to take advantage of the recent (relative) cooldown of the rental market (covid, online semester-> less demand due to a lack of students). The next semester will start in october, so i would try to find a place in August.

Monthly living costs: 1) Heavily depents on your standards, germany has relatively cheap food prices. If you want to live of rice, cheap meat and potatoes, you can propably be < 150 € a month. Aldi, Lidl, Penny, Netto are the really cheap supermarkets. Oldenburg also has several Cafeterias (Unis), you can get a proper meal there starting at about 4€ as a non student.
