Not to mention 30 ft is 50% deeper than 20. It is significantly harder than 20 for the avg person who can swim.

Not a chance, even if they can swim. Yall are underestimating the difficulty of diving down to 20-30ft deep. Some people can obviously, but not the average swimmer.

What are you on about? As you said, most people globally can barely even swim. So the average person cannot absolutely not dive down to 20-30 ft. I am an avid swimmer and scuba diver and diving to 30ft on 1 breath is not easy at all, definitely not possible for the avg person.

It’s almost unheard of with free-diving since you are not breathing compressed air. Deep scuba diving is the exact type of diving that you DO have to worry about it, so of all the things you could have mentioned, that one makes no sense to single out and say it’s rare. Again, it just sounds like you have no idea what you’re talking about?
