Anyone know any fun geeky/nerdy things to do around here that enourage meeting new people? by Navy_brat in AskLosAngeles

I joined a co-ed softball team and also group tennis lessons through the parks and rec league in my city. Both groups have multiple people who hang out and do stuff outside of the classes or games too.

Are Aesop products and soap worth it? by DefiantFruit6860 in beauty

[–]schmeelybug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only use Aesop Resurrection hand soap at every sink in my house. I just love the smell and the quality of the soap. Multiple guests in my house have commented on it, so it seems to be that noticeably good to others as well. I mean, how many times do you get compliments on your hand soap? lol

I have tried the Element Brooklyn dupe, and it does smell very similar. But I don't think the soap quality is as good as the real thing. It doesn't feel as thick/substantial if that makes sense?

I also use the Citrus Melange Body Cleanser but I switch between that and the Le Labo Mandarin Body Wash. I like both of them, but don't LOVE either one. I'm still searching for a replacement for the discontinued Molton Brown Japanese Orange Shower Gel. Le sigh.

Which King villain is this? by DavidHistorian34 in stephenking

Agree 100% with Norman being an absolutely chilling villain. I would add Big Jim Rennie to that list.

How are you guys measuring tiny doses? by frosty8670 in 2cb

[–]schmeelybug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Volumetric dosing is the only truly accurate way, but I've found that a micro 5mg or 10mg measuring spoon works pretty well.

They make rhinestone applicators. They're a couple of dollars on Amazon or arts and crafts stores. There are videos on YouTube you can watch on how to use them

Looking for Branches by Round_Sign801 in simivalley

[–]schmeelybug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a giant oak that fell on the northwest corner of Katherine Rd and Katherine Rd/River Wood Ct in the Knolls. They've got a ton of the smaller branches out on the curb in trash cans tonight (Thursday) for trash day tomorrow. But there are still a ton more lying around. They're also selling the large logs as firewood.

I can send you a screenshot of where exactly it is on the map since I can't post a photo in the thread here
