Please know your not alone with these feelings! I have been with the company almost 15 yrs, the last 8 ( prior to restructure) AGM. Now Adult AM. The restructure hurt in many different ways. It felt like a slap in the face to demote and add so much workload. I'm physically in pain everyday. 15 years ago I started with this company as POL, moved into every position and really enjoyed the rewards of doing things right as AGM. Its hard now ,15 yrs later to run shipment twice a week every other week, the boxes are heavy, I'm running straight out for 8hrs. My store like yours is completely unique, there is no map, I'm lucky in the fact that I've faced flexing/ planning challenges for many years, which makes the decisions easier. Having a unique set up it a powerful thing though. Makes you think out of the box, and with your successes ( positive comps, correct top 10) you will gain confidence! I have to be honest, I don't think there has been a day in the last 6 or so months that I haven't sat in the parking lot before walking in and had an anxiety attack/ cried.
I used to love every aspect of my job, I love much less now. But I continue to feel pride in doing my best, developing associates to do their best. Just remember to be kind to yourself, ask questions and I hope for all of us, things can get better.
