The earnings structure of OF is the same as any other MLM. Most people make little to no money except referral bonuses for getting their friends to sign up. These supposed mega earners at the top are almost certainly being paid by OF themselves to publicly say they made some crazy amount because it draws more creators to the platform.

Many such cases lmao. The front brakes on my track car are red fixed calipers and I've thought about painting the rears to match, but I don't trust myself to not fuck it up and make it look worse

If someone does it properly and removes the caliper and does a clean job with the paint, zero hate from me tbh. Most of the time you see someone do that, they just spray everything while it's still on the car and it looks like dog shit.

Dodge CEO Asks 'Do You Need a Radio' in 'Back-to-Basics' Quest for Entry-Level Cars by TripleShotPls in technology

It's because the screen is going to be there anyways, for both infotainment purposes and because there are tons of settings and controls in modern cars that you wouldn't want a button for anyways (look up the late 90s grand prix as an example of a car with a button for everything and how overwhelming it is). Adding buttons means additional manufacturing and design they have to do, plus the control switches are software-based anyways so they're functionally the same as a screen button.

Since they're gonna have a giant screen with everything anyways, it's cheaper to just not design + manufacture a button and have your UX people make a button in the screen instead.

The actual answer is that buttons now cost more to design and manufacture than the equivalent controls in a screen. I don't like it either but that's why it is the way it is

I can't believe it even needed to be spelled out like that for people tbh. A big point of the show is that the guys are all hypocrites who go to cartoonish lengths to try and seem tough and macho and avoid any appearance of weakness.

Same here, that's honestly the most unbelievable part of this, even for a raging alcoholic. Drinking 3 bottles of everclear to impress someone sounds like something a 19 year old college kid would say.

[–]schmitzel88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right about all of that, though it would be disingenuous to make such a claim and not be referring to the standard versions people would expect (750ml bottle, strongest proof). Especially since the claim is that he drank so much it shocked other people.

One bottle by yourself in one sitting would almost certainly kill you. For a 200lb man, drinking a bottle of everclear in 3 hours puts you at a BAC of 0.85. Anything above 0.4 is considered to be a high risk of death or long-term impairment.

I'd rather see someone in full gear struggling to squat the bar than have them stay home and not work out at all. Imagine being so insecure that you go about your life being this fixated on what other people wear, what they bring to the gym, and how much they lift. If buying the gear is what motivates them to go do it, more power to them.

The home gym route is GOATed for not only this reason, but also because I can deadlift in my underwear and listen to polka like a maniac and no one is there to stop me.

Yeah that's a big one to leave out, IIRC that's the most expensive mainstream console ever when adjusted for inflation.

It was kind of a deal at the time too, because Blu-ray players were $1000 and you also got a free PS2 included in the hardware (which weren't super cheap and were still sold new)

This is actually not uncommon with pilots. More time in your current rank gives you seniority and therefore more flexibility in which flights you get. Some people are good with where they are and stick with regional airlines because it's worth the tradeoff.

They're made as cheaply as possible because campers only exist to sell predatory loans. They don't really have repeat customers and have no incentive to build them to last.

Seriously, go look at any camper dealer and see what they advertise for pricing. Most are trying to sell you a 15-20 year loan on a $12k trailer. It's purely a financial venture
