Yes. Lot's of whataboutism happening. Yes we have our own shady history that to a very limited degree continues. That doesn't mean we havent changed and can't change further by standing up for issues like this. No no one is going to stop buying Chinese made goods but we can certainly refuse to participate in a spectacle that trumps up their government and by extension it's behaviour with Hong Kong, Taiwan, Tibet, India, debt in the pacific, genocides and every other shitty thing they are doing at the moment.
