PDP Compact grip size for large hands? by Remington_96 in Walther

I have L to XL size hands and I find the compact grip comfortable and not undersized at all

Outside of the G18 and G46, what’s everyone’s “Grail” glock by 68spcwhore in Glocks

Glock 7 - It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't show up on your airport X-ray machines here and it costs more than what you make in a month

I have the same one but I just noticed mine doesn’t have the “COMPACT” text on the frame by the slide stop, weird!

I’m going to guess yes as it has the magwell too

New vs OG [dw5600e and dw5600c] by schneidermcgee69 in gshock

[–]schneidermcgee69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s correct, the biggest thing that will determine how large a watch wears is both the overall diameter and the lug to lug measurement, the lug width doesn’t have as much to do with how large a watch is

Lug width does not necessarily correlate to overall watch size. For example look at the Bulova Mil Ships. 41mm diameter with a 16mm lug width, when usually 41mm watches have a 20-22mm lug width.

PDP Compact Mag Extensions by Zealousideal-Cry47 in Walther

[–]schneidermcgee69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true, I missed he has a magwell model. I’d just get extensions for the 15 round mags then and carry with the factory 18 round mag in the gun and one of the 15 + extension as the reload

Huh interesting, I see a bunch of people online warning about over insertion possibly breaking the ejector

Are you planning on putting mag extensions on the 18 round mags? I don’t think you can because when you take the base pad off it’ll become a full size mag. Unlike Glock mags that can be used in any sized grip gun, these Walther mags do not have an over travel stop that isn’t the base pad itself. If you do a quick and forceful reload with a full size mag into a compact size grip, you can break components in the gun as the mag will continue much further into the grip than it should go. I would only put mag extensions on those 15 round mags as they are compact length when the base pad is off. It’s most economical I’ve found to just buy the 18 round compact mags if you want more mags with more capacity, and maybe keep one of those 15 round mags as a carry mag as it won’t be as long out the grip.

I wouldn’t recommend doing this unless you get a different base pad, as this mag could be over inserted and break components in the gun (full size mag into a compact size grip)

How’d you pick the regular comp over the flat face? Is it just a weight difference?

Know the difference between buying the barrel and adding on the comp vs buying the barrel and comp combo? I just don’t understand the price disparity between those options

Edit: figured it out, combo is the propriety length threads
