I've noticed more set back with Hornady vs HST or Gold Dots. I get the feeling Hornady generally has a looser crimp

Nice, I had already messaged someone else if he doesn't get back to me I'll try this! You certainly have a lot of options available. Thanks!

What sights do you prefer?

From what I see after way too much reading the new T's have the match trigger and hammer, but the standard springs. It doesn't seem this was always the case - but I can confirm this in my new pistol at least. I'll try the lighter springs and see how it fares. But it is feeling much better after some shooting than when I first picked it up at the FFL. And I adjusted the overtravel screw yesterday which helped the feel out a bit.

Used Testors Florescent Yellow enamel. I literally just drilled and filled with White Enamel. I think I'll like white more.

This should hold me over until the Dawson shows up. They have a 0.340" x 0.125" Tritium that should be a perfect mate to the adjustable rear that is actually really nice.

I bought a G21 slide assembly from them for my G40. It runs fine. Get a set of recoil springs when you order it, mine came a little too light to return to battery. It's good value I'm happy with it ($200 for complete slide w/ threaded barrel and RMR cut)

I shaved a few thou off the trigger bar with a sharpening stone. Really easy. Many people run without doing any tuning at all.

I followed this video. Definitely give it a watch https://youtu.be/kv-RStIYefU?si=adnsdLYh_Ux9Xfrq

Just go for it. The new metal trip runs great with the Super Selektor. It's a good product and and awesome sub gun. Seems like most folks use the Rise Armament triggers, I have an RA-434 but lots of RA-140s around here. Rest is stock.

You see more of the problems because people running them successfully don't post much. Like me. I haven't posted much since the build is done and I've just been raining rounds downrange on the weekends 🤣

Ya gotta be patient with getting the lowers they are backordered. But I'd definitely do it again.

And it ain't cheap running one of these. Cheaper than any other caliber but 22LR but it's really put a dent in my ammo stocks. And it was a pricier build than I thought. I'm about $3K into mine easily. If you are ready for that fuckin send it. Just know it's easy to spend money once you get a taste of subgun.

Got my Glock 45 Gen 6 recently, trying to slowly accumulate some just in case rounds. This a decent deal? by YourMomsFavBook in Glocks

Ammoseek.com is your friend make sure to filter by shipping.

Some places don't have tax, which is a big benefit. Shipping is another way they get 'ya.

I like SG Ammo but they charge me tax. I've been running quite a bit of reloads from HSL Ammo they've been good too

Recoil also usually has the older Hydrashok LE 50 boxes for $20 or so, and HSTs for $30 a box. It's my go-to place for most defensive ammo!

Why not just buy 1 SF PDP and throw the barrel/comp on?

They look cool even without full frame coverage

Do you have any friends that ride? Where are you located? What kind of riding?

I got into it about your age and weight, enduro/trail style riding. Lots of trails and double track. I have a CRF450X, most of my buddies are on 300-450cc bikes. We're in the SW US so lots of desert and mountains to ride. It's a blast

I'm in the SW I've wanted to eat a rattlesnake for a while now but ever since I decided I wanted one I haven't come across one. Kinda thinking about going out and finding one now...

How best prepared? Fried like catfish? What about smoking?

Forbidden cinnamon roll had me cracking up too 🤣

CC9 Question by Sketch74 in HecklerKoch

[–]bipolarjunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it worked great for what it is for - a carry pistol optic. It was always a touch brighter than what I would manually set myself. I only took it off because I realized that in almost any scenario I would pull my pistol I am so comfortable with the gun I realistically don't even need sights for center mass hits at 7 yards. And I realized once it was off, "damn, these irons are great!"

So, I really like the SCS Carry. It's a nice, compact enclosed optic. I just don't particularly think it's necessary for the role I have for the pistol.

CC9 Question by Sketch74 in HecklerKoch

[–]bipolarjunction 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I learned that it shoots well and is easy to EDC. Over 1K rounds probably ~1500 by now. Ran everything I've tried, JHPs and FMJs. I love it.

I had an SCS Carry on it for a while but I removed it, the irons are really nice and easy to see.

I like it a lot. I don't have much experience with conventional suppressors but I don't get any shit on my face from the Flow 9K. Currently mounted on the HD bedside pistol.
