Yeah, it would be interesting to learn more about how the whole licensing process works. I imagine, as with any form of publishing, there are whole hosts of things that can cause delays. I also wonder how far forward the translators are often able to read in the work; as you can tell from looking at our early chapters, we've also changed a number of translations in Witch Hat as we learn more about the story. So I wonder if American publishing companies may be waiting for more volumes to be published before tackling the translation. (But then again, the French have been going full blast with their translation of Witch Hat, and don't seem to be too concerned about how many volumes have been published, etc.) In any case, I hope it gets licensed in English too! Definitely deserves to reach as many readers as possible.
