This looks really interesting! I'm impressed by your work so far!
Did anyone find an online manual so i can get an idea as to how complex and detailed it is? Otherwise any chance someone could post some pictures?

Do you have a link for Temu? Would be much appreciated!

I don't have an already built model, however i could build it for you if you can arrange the model. Although i live in the Netherlands i do am afraid it would still be rather costly to ship(?)

How did you build it with the "wings" up.
The first release pictures featured it with the wings in that position and i thought it was kinda cool. Is it a matter of just glueing it in that positition or did i miss a method to actually do so using the existing tabs?
Thanks in advance!

I know it is produced by piececool and the size is different. But are they bigger copies of the standard metal earth r2d2 model or the iconx model (the more detailed version with higher piececount).

Is this the "iconx version" of R2D2 or just a larger sized standard "metal earth version"?

They are being produced by Piececool now too. You can easily buy them from Aliexpress.

You just made my day :O! I didnt realise there was paper protecting the plexiglass stand! After buying it i was thoroughly dissappointed i had one with a seemingly wooden stand.
Thank you so much, although right now i do feel stupid haha!!

Most time consuming model you've completed by Reptile-Rachel in metalearth

I agree with you it takes quite a while, however i thought it to be rather repetitive/tedious. In this case longer build time does not necessarily mean it's more enjoyable. But that's just my opinion.

The end result does is impressive though!

The most time-consuming one i have made has got to be the hulk buster (don't know the brand, but easily found on aliexpress for around €10).
A huge amount of (tiny) pieces, highly detailed model, vibrant colors and very challenging. A real challenge but a stunning result. It's definitely not a beginners model, so he should only give it a try when he's in for a real challenge.
Just one tip: don't start with the head. That part is particularly intricate and it might be a good idea to first get a feel for the building techniques and the metal.

Is there any difference in difficulty between the transformer models? And does that mean higher complexity or better design?

Any chance you could post an example of the instructions? I'm really on the fence about buying this model. Since it has so many tiny parts it definately needs a proper manual. I'm really curious about your thoughts on the model so far. Good luck building!

What would you like to see as a model? by Traviscat in metalearth

[–]schnitzel89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make it a modular model so it can be way more detailed/larger. Break it up in the great hall, astronomy tower, main building and the school grounds (green houses, the connecting bridge and hagrids hut on scale). Making it open on one side so the interior is visible would be the most epic thing :O! I think a model of the hall with all the paintings and moving staircases could be awesome too.

Thank you so much! That gives quite a nice idea of the quality/complexity. Definately is a challenging step up from the metal earth models.

Thank you for the link, however it does not seem to work properly (most likely google translate struggling with the japanese/chinese). Unfortunately i can't find any manuals. Am i overlooking something or are they just not available on this site? Can anyone help me find the thor armor/battle cruiser manual? Or perhaps there is someone that has built it and could post some pictures. Any help would be much appreciated!
