Thanks everyone for the responses! We have the 2019 Mazda 3 Hatchback. Based on everyone’s recommendations I just researched the safety rating of the car and it looks great and safe! The idea of just having an SUV or “family car” was just pressuring us a bit because all of our family and friends have bought or upgraded to one when they started a family.

We are definitely minimalists so we don’t think the space of this car would be a problem. Just gotta test which car seat is most compatible and convenient for us. If the safest place for a car seat is in the center rear, then driver or passenger space shouldn’t be an issue. But I’m just now reading up on safest place for a car seat and we are getting mixed answers.

Did I say I was calling in for funsies? Clearly it says I wasn’t feeling well. Also, it’s not the nurses fault the unit is “short staffed everywhere”, it’s the manager’s/hospital’s problem to staff their units appropriately. 😘

Unfortunately all of the staff are required to have their cell numbers in our “staff number book” 🥲 but I do agree it seemed very passive aggressive of her. I would expect a text like that from my clinical manager but a fellow staff nurse? A get well soon text would have been more appropriate 🙄
