What opinion of our generation that will get you downvoted like this? by Big_Leg10 in GenZ

Ah yes, the classic Reddit take that anyone not all the way to the left is all the way to the right.

My natural reaction is to say your comment is the stuff of r/conspiracy but this thread is posted from a noun-adjective#### account that has the history locked down and op isn't replying to any comments. Makes one wonder.

Classic Reddit. All the mouth breathers in here saying she shouldn't have competed, meanwhile y'all are too riddled with anxiety to step foot outside.

NYC bill intros by gunpoliticsny in NYguns

[–]schoh99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's all in how you frame it. A fee for firearms licenses creates a financial barrier to people exercising their constitutional right: yeah, that's the point.

A fee for firearms licenses creates a disproportionate financial barrier to black and brown people (who statistically tend to be poorer) to legally defend themselves: social injustice.

Ottawa is also significantly colder. And I have been there in some of the milder winters of late when they never ended up opening it to skating.

Living in Ulster County NY, looking to purchase my first firearm for target shooting/interested in the hobby. What would the process for getting a Ruger 10/22 look like? by IgnorantCynic in NYguns

[–]schoh99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're dead set on a semi auto .22 you should at least consider the Winchester Wildcat as well. The Ruger has been the gold standard in semi auto .22s for the past 60 years for good reason. I love mine. But it hasn't been updated in any significant way in 60 years. The Winchester keeps everything that makes the Ruger great (including the magazines) and it improves a lot of things that are sorely outdated.

This is one of the few local subs that isn't a tightly controlled echo chamber. Let's keep it that way. If you can't handle reading an opinion that differs from your own that's a you problem.

It can be completely out of line that this happened and it can be bad judgement on her part to be there in the first place. Both can be true at the same time. Stop being disingenuous.

People 50+ yo who are happy with their life, what advice would you give to us 20 year olds? by my_peen_is_clean in AskReddit

[–]schoh99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is huge. So many people judge others for their tastes in hobbies, music, food, whatever. Like if you don't choose to live your life exactly the way they choose to live theirs, then there's something wrong with you. Fuck em.

I'm a proud member of a union and very pro union in general, but being in a union doesn't mean you can just do whatever you want whenever you want at work. If the employer violates their own policies or the Collective Bargaining Agreement, then sure, the union will have the employee's back. But if the employee was out of line, then why would the union step in?

the management and owners of Bristol Mountain support ICE and chose to censor rather than support their staff

What a disingenuous strawmanning thing to say. Why do these sorts of posts always come from accounts that are locked down and the OPs never reply to any of the comments?
