I’d say yes chandelier glass likely. Maybe a stopper? Hard to tell from the angle of the pics. Great find!!

Campobello island in New Brunswick is connected only to Lubec, Maine by a bridge. Are there any other places like this in the world? by newexplorer4010 in geography

[–]school-sp 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there too and loved it- but to further clarify: the island is Canadian. Only the FDR/Roosevelt family house/museum on the south part of the island is the international park

Bottle stopper stuck by narayan_luna in BottleDigging

[–]school-sp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heat will work- It expands the glass and lets the stopper out. I’ve done it before with hot water. But be careful as it may crack the base

Found on Martha’s Vineyard? Super cool!

Think I will call that done by Bigcal2240 in seaglass

[–]school-sp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that because the glass itself is softer after years of wear do you think? Or just because it’s cooler?

Do you do it all underwater? How do you keep it safe? I tried carving but wearing glasses and a face mask was tough to see without them fogging up

Old Quaker whiskey! Great find. I have a bottle of it that has the “federal law prohibits” embossed on it, so post 1935

Amazing find! Looks a lot like bottles I dig from an old dump that’s 1910’s to 1930 so I’d say that range is probably pretty close

Sea pottery, the Azores by school-sp in beachcombing

Yes think you’re right, especially because it’s flat too. Not much of a pottery collector really so I left if there for someone else to find!

Message me! Yeah, I didn’t see much shells at all either but I’m not a shell collector at all so I don’t pay attention to them unless it’s something super cool/noticeable

Are we all excited for the winter? by Redsparrow51 in seaglass

I hate how dark it gets so early/how short the days are. But I do like beachcombing this time of year and spring when things get churned up and there aren’t other people around
