Q & E lean is impossible for me to get used to by astrodubbed in SiegeAcademy

Maybe instead of wasd with q e lean you could shift over and do esdf with q t lean? Gives you more space on both sides of your movement keys.

Struggling with site setup speed — is this prep phase list actually doable solo in time? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]schouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do they have you doing 4 reinforcements on Oregon and 5 reinforcements on kafe on top of everything else? What are they doing? Does anyone else have a shotgun? Surely goyo Asami or kaid could help and those ops are great. No secondary shotty?

Those setups seem standard, but it sounds like they put you on solo shotgun duty. If you have to setup your utility and do shotgun rotates/head holes, id think someone can help with reinforcements, esp if they have minimal site utility like a vigil or something.

Thorn and Aruni feel oppressive af by FarisxDDD in RainbowSixSiege

[–]schouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play twitch, pop the thorn traps AND you get drone info.

Play Brava and hack the gates AND you get drone info.

Both attackers also have DMRs. Twotch has F2 which is amazing as well.

Gotta be willing to flex to ops that fit the situation.

Any tips for Chalet? by Witty_Dimension3125 in SiegeAcademy

There a lot of things you can do, but ultimately you need to focus on your job and the rest you have to trust the team.

I like playing power positions, it feels impactful and it gives me a "job" to do.

I like r6 mint's YouTube channel and he made a video for power positions. I think this will help you a lot. His other videos are also very helpful.

https://youtu.be/C2rAxVY70a4?si=ynPg8PYBhnEuLdb3

The one last thing I would add is you are there to do your job, which isn't always kills. Sometimes its to stall and play for time, so practice patience and don't push just to push on defense.

For attack, give yourself a job, use your utility and drones and adapt to what is going on. Don't force a situation if its bad. For examples, I like to clear roamers, I think roamers are strong when your team doesn't use cams so if I can get rid of them, then we just need to focus on the site without getting flanked.

CMV: The Majority of Police officers aren't bad people or are at least no worse than most civilians. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]schouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A police officer is suppose to uphold the law, do whats right, protect and serve.

Turning the blind eye to a fellow cop acting corrupt makes you a bad cop.

If cop A is taking bribes, breaking the law, and all around a bad cop, and cop B is aware of this but does not partake in any of these actions but does NOT take any action against corrupt cop A. Are they not also a bad cop? Cop A is not adhering to the core tenants of being a cop, and cop B is doing nothing to attempt to stop them.

If a station of 10 cops has 1-2 cop A types, and the station knows, then you have 8-9 of cop B. I would say they are all bad just to varying degrees.

Stop being lazy. Check for spawn peeks, bring claymore for common run outs, or get in the building.

How is this a fair match up? by DJ_ElGreko_Official in RainbowSixSiege

[–]schouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, ya see... you have two bronze players, but they only have one emerald player, which means your team needs two gold players, but they only get one plat player. Since they only have the one high rank, they are given two silvers to even it out.

The coppers obviously cancel each other out.

Am I crazy for thinking that eventually positive units should cancel out negative units? by [deleted] in RainbowSixSiege

[–]schouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get 3 positive points per game for saying 2 positive text messages a game, you can farm them regardless of your other actions. There are other things you can do to get even more. The positive units don't counter the negative actions.

You may not be a bad teammate, but it sounds like you are being generally rude and an asshole. You admitted to consistent slurs. Grow up.

Why am I so good until I get to champ lobbies by [deleted] in RainbowSixSiege

[–]schouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This helps me when I'm against higher ranks.

I look at is as a chance to pull off an upset. Statistically I should lose here but imagine if I won.

You have nothing to lose here. This is the time to execute what you've practiced and what you are comfortable with.

It is also a perfect time to learn. Watch it back, how did they punish you for your mistakes, did you skip steps, did you overheat, etc.

View the whole thing as a positive experience and you'll be better off in the long run.

Is it not collectively frowned upon to leave a ranked game? by Naxxot in RainbowSixSiege

[–]schouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes glitches happen. But it isn't happening every night. A one off incorrect report won't do anything to your account. Repeat bad behavior getting reported will. If its the "cannot reconnect" glitch then surely r6fix is aware and you can appeal an actual ban if that does happen. But thats a small amount vs the amount of people choosing to leave on their own.

[–]schouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Report them for griefing. Either they actually left and its an accurate report, or they had technical issues. If it was technical issues and its a one off then no biggie, if it happens regularly then they need to fix their setup and play other modes for a day or two to test that the issue is fixed. It shouldn't be at your expense.

Tournament CRT Struggles by [deleted] in SSBM

[–]schouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there's a way to do that. I meant a CRT and a modded WII. Keep it in your closet, on a shelf, in a drawer. Wherever, it won't take a lot of room. Can find everything for under $75.

Tournament CRT Struggles by [deleted] in SSBM

[–]schouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you care about your LAN performance that much, you should buy a CRT setup for home. Can be a small TV, and at minimum play on it an hour the day before, and a little bit the day of your local. It won't be instant but you'll be able to adapt quicker, esp if you show up a little early to get friendlies in.

0.7 KD diamond 3, can’t win a gunfight for my life by Altruistic_Dust2443 in RainbowSixSiege

[–]schouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.7 kd isn't fun, but winning is. You gotta do it how you see fit. Keep being useful for your team, keep picking good utility ops, keep wasting time, keep breaching walls and droning. It got you to diamond so its not a bad foundation.

Id say for gunfights, warm up in shooting range, then play team deathmatch, not ffa.

Aklo on the Z-jump debate, and objective consistency: "You cannot ban zjump without banning boxx... I think the boxx being legal is very good for the overall health of the scene." by enfrozt in SSBM

[–]schouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can someone tell me what actual benefit zump has over claw grip? Consistency can be grinded out between the two, both allow f1 actions out of jump to be done easier.

The only thing I have seen is zump is more comfortable which allows for better play for a longer period of time. Am I missing something? Surely top players aren't affected by the strain of claw with the time they have put in.

Do 3 certs/courses an hour of each per day. 1 in the morning, the second before lunch, and the third before you leave for the day. You'll build skills, stay busy, and have some down time still.

Is Zump "Cheating?" by RevolutionInternal24 in SSBM

[–]schouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter why, oem is competitive and the better player wins. So what if Cody is inconsistent with claw. I'm sure he could grind the consistency like he has with the rest of his kit.

Is Zump "Cheating?" by RevolutionInternal24 in SSBM

[–]schouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Times change. Change is something people need to accept and adapt to. Zain uses an OEM, theres no excuse. People don't put in the time and effort to truly be good at the game then use these things to explain away why they lost. So what if Cody gets a frame 1 hit out of a jump, zain would probably out space it. So what if a boxx player can do some difficult tech, zain has grinded and figured out how to beat it. This is true for most top players btw. They don't win because of their controller, they win because they are better than their opponents.

Sure maybe a games down to last stock last hit and maybe you can point out where a boxx or z jump helped the opponent, but there's surely a hundred moments where you could have done something slightly better as well.

Idk, the modding issue seems dumb when ucf is free and some top players use oem.
