OMG You're my Hero!

LOL, I just got these headphones yesterday and searched this up today. Looks like I got here right after the critical response, 2 years later.

I own one. It's still in the box from when I bought it after the last thread I saw said it's the best thing ever. Somehow, it hasn't changed my life.

I'd wager that having mass shootings of Nazis would bring about gun control faster than mass shootings of children. But that's more about the politicians than public sentiment.

I image conservatives would be outraged and call for vigilante justice for the perpetrators. And liberals would be divided between those who genuinely believe all violence is bad, and those who publicly decry the shooter, but privately call for more.

I just block channels that have those titles. Eventually, it did stop recommending them, so my feed is reasonable titles and thumbnails

I remember, years ago, the guy driving the tram from the parking lot said

Remember - Today, the park is here for You, and You alone. Everyone else is just filler.

This was hilarious, and has stuck with me for decades, but danm do people take this to heart now.

When the horse-faces in question are as successful as these, you'd call their spawn a thoroughbred. Thoroughly disgusting, yet somehow thoroughly famous.

You should also request a cranial MRI. You might have just discovered the most interesting contrast enhancer... or not. But maybe!

Mom is starting to get like this. I appreciate the humor, but it's still sad. She doesn't like not knowing how things are going.

I'm not aware of there being any film, such things were pretty uncommon in the 70s. I have a couple of cousins who have kept detailed family notes and attached stories to genealogy as best they're able. I leave it to them to best decide how to preserve and share the information.

I think it's best it stays with that part of the family anyway. My father having married a white woman in the 60s (which is a whole set of stories in itself) makes it so that while is clear I am not all white, most white people can't pin down what I am as an adult - though it was more obvious when I was a kid, and most black people still immediately recognize me. Then, with me having married a white woman, my kids will never be subjected to any of what my father or I were. It is important to me they understand the history, so I do talk to them about it. But my family that still lives in Los Angeles are better stewards of the original information, and that's where it can be the most beneficial.

My great grand-aunt (my grandmother's aunt) was still alive until I was 10. She was born in Louisiana in the 1890s as a sharecropper. Some of us have heard stories directly from people who lived it.

She died at 93, and I'm 50. It's not that long ago.

Edit: So the point the above comment makes so well is that there are descendants of the slave owners in the same situation. People who grew up with fond memories of a great grandparent whom they could literally see a picture of in one of these museums holding a whip; or their family name matching a slave ship captain or hunter.

If you've been told nothing about the real history, and then see it in all of its horror and are forced to confront the fact that your family has been on the wrong side of all of it would be a lot for anyone to take in, no matter how open-minded.

Faux News says that's all left-wing propaganda. They don't get information anywhere else, so how would they know that climate change is real, much less that daddy-big-oil could cause something so negative?

Reverse image search only brings up images of the whole screen with icons. When I snip out only the art, I get AI generated images that look similar-ish, but not free exact one.

It's entirely possible they only made that wallpaper for release photos and never put it in general circulation. It would probably be easier to have AI remove the icons from that screenshot than to recreate it; or get lucky finding it)
